My captain
I was at that game. It was not a fun one to be at, but holy shit was it important. It’s awesome to say I was there for the turning point of the season.
So crazy that our record has held up that well considering how terrible they looked in February. It seemed impossible for them to win a game in regulation too.
Don’t show this to the doomers
Don’t let the Trouba haters see this
I’d actually be really interested in hearing from someone like Mika or Kreider on what they see as having changed. What sort of talks happened in the locker room, or what did the team really start focusing on? Is the helmet throw really indicative of what happened behind closed doors?
4 straight since Gramma took over in goal
Be careful posting this, some people think the helmet throw is a ridiculous thing to talk about and we should stop talking about because it wasn’t as important as the kreider tablet throw.
121 PT pace. Good for the presidents trophy almost any year
If we win the cup this year the helmet throw will become an iconic rangers moment
Funny story. The game before the helmet throw we played St. Louis. We were down going into the 3rd and came back and won. That game I told my friend that wouldn’t it be great if it put it together after this game. Then the helmet game and we’ve been rolling.
So I’m not saying I’m a prophet but this same exact thing happened last year if you remember. We were down by 2 against st louis going into the 3rd (I believe it was 2) and we scored a bunch in the 3rd, won that game and then it seemed our team just put it together.
So thank you St. Louis.
