3 way tie for #5 skater in the league. Pettersson, Fox and Hyman. All have 3.9 GSVA
I think his defensive ability is only second to Bergeron on that list.
« Sorry, it’s still below Bedard levels. »
– some Canucks heckler on Twitter, probably.
I wonder if the data from this tweet is bit outdated. I’ve been saving Petey’s Athletic Player Cards since Dom updated them for the 22-23 season. His GSVA and Market Value has exploded since earlier this season:
Dec 11: GSVA 3.6 Market Value $12.7M
Dec 19: GSVA 3.3 Market Value $!0.7M
Jan 9: GSVA 3.9 Market Value $11.8M
Jan 16: GSVA 4.2 Market Value $12.7M
Jan 23: GSVA 4.1 Market Value $12.4M
Jan 29: GSVA 4.1 Market Value $12.6M
Feb 13: GSVA 4.3 Market Value $13.1M
Feb 27: GSVA 4.7 Market Value $14.1M
Mar 13: GSVA 4.8 Market Value $14.5M
(Dom updated the cards every 2 weeks starting in February).
**As a point of reference, Connor McDavid’s GSVA is 7 and his Market Value is « League Max »
In terms of what his GSVA means, he has reached Tier 2 « Franchise » status. (Tier 1 is « MVP » status)
***EDIT to add – the GSVA numbers I posted above are his PROJECTED numbers for 22-23. Dom just updated his player card this afternoon and his current GSVA is 4.1 and his projected GSVA is 4.9.
Allvin better start clearing cap space cause Petey’s gonna be asking for McDavid money
