And with the 5th overall pick the Columbus Blue Jackets select…

  2. VinylBreadPuddin

I love the jackets late season winning streaks when you got eliminated from contention weeks ago…

On the plus side it was a very entertaining game to watch and Kent got a michigan

  3. NontransferableApe

It is what it is. Teams finishing the year hot. As always

  4. KyloSolo723

We’re really going to win our way out of Bedard aren’t we?

  5. sergei-boobtitsky

How is half our roster dead, we lose 2 more players to injury in this game alone and then win? My Bedard dreams are dead. Silly me hoping this god-forsaken franchise would ever have anything good come to it.

  6. ddottay

We’re going to win the lottery despite these wins. I have a good feeling.

  7. nateorz

Listen, I enjoy winning and I know professional athletes do too, but it sucks when the points that do nothing take away from a chance to change our franchise and get us something we’ve never had…unless the whole Laine thing works out long-term.

    CBJ win: nice

    CBJ win: damn…

    Well, do we need Bedard?

I mean look at Edmonton, no cups

    I mean look at Pittsburgh…

    Real pickle, you know?

  9. nevalost20

Everyone else ready to begrudgingly try to hype themselves up to drafting Will Smith?

    God fucking damn it

  10. Archangel612

“Because we’re the Blue Jackets and we do things the hard way.”

  11. doppleganger2621

Yes we can’t “lose every game” but our lottery chances were cut in half tonight and that’s bad

  12. ButterbeerAndPizza

It’s ok!!! The next game is against… oh shit. The Canadiens.

  13. Splattered_Smothered

Anyone have a link to KJ goal?

  14. I know it doesn’t help the tank, but for all the sub members who gleefully cheered on when our team would lose, it kinda fills me with joy when we do win and they go to bed grumpy their favorite team got a W

EDIT: The downvotes only prove the point lol. Have a good night doomers.

  15. bartholin_wmf

On one hand, this game was super enjoyable on its own.

On the other, trying to weigh high stakes gambling in our favor is something I’d like long term.

On the third hand, we got so injured I can see this team shitting the bed real hard during the last stretch, so I’m not losing sleep over it. Yet.

  16. spmartin1993

I need a therapist to express my emotions from this game

  17. NontransferableApe

All im saying is of we draft will smith ill be livid

  18. Independent_Context4

they’re really gonna pull this win a bunch meaningless games down the stretch to get the 6th pick instead of top 3 bullshit again. I hate this team

  19. JSAKelley2

    Enjoy the win!

Do you really think Gary and the NHL powers that be are going to let Bedard come to Columbus when there are Original 6 big market teams in the mix?? I’m sure the lottery ball is already in the freezer as we speak!

  20. Lost_For_Life

We are getting 31st at this point. San Jose is literally horrible and has gone 2-13 since feb 1st so no one is out-tanking that unfortunately. I’m gonna enjoy the last few home games and cheer for 31st cause fantilli is a great prize too. For those thinking we are going to suck if we don’t get a top 3 pick I think you all need to look at who we have as prospects. Adding another top 5 pick player is nothing but beneficial. The main reason top 3 is so important is because they are centers which I get but it won’t kill us I don’t think. Glad we keep selling out and love this team and all of you!

  21. Timely-Morning3163

Wining games to get rid of your chances for Bedard? We’re not even gonna be able to get Fantilli or Carlsson at this rate

  22. RonTugMyNuts

This is why we can’t have nice things

  23. Hazy_eyePA

I’ve always had a feeling we were going to end up getting Fantilli anyways.

  24. Tippacanoe

I don’t care. Winning is fun. Losing sucks. Sure I want Bedard, but acting like a 25% is a sure thing is dumb anyway.

  25. shadowseeker3658

Can’t wait to win out and finish with the 6th pick because we don’t know how to win when wins matter and lose when losses matter.

  26. walkowskee

Saving grace for Failing The Tank is with Oliver and Gudbranson leaving the game we may be forced to field a squad of only AHL players for the last few games

  27. Archangel612

Let’s everybody relax for a second. We’re only in 31st via tiebreaker, that means if the Sharks manage to squeak out even one more OT loss, we’ll be right back at the bottom. We’ve got a fairly tough schedule for the rest of the season too, so let’s just see how things play out before we start smashing the panic button.

  28. ReApEr01807

Philly and *maybe* Buffalo are the only teams that I see the CBJ having a shot at beating. That said, I’ve been wrong before. Still more than possible to finish the season <60pts. The Sharks love to lose in OT and that helps the CBJ

  29. mammiemilker

78% (7/9) on the dot and an assist in McKown’s first NHL game… I’ll take it

  30. Here’s a positive for you all: Monsters just won in OT and are currently sitting in a playoff spot

  31. sjack827

I might just take a step back from the team. It’s great that they’re playing to their potential since there really is a lot of talent on the team. But with all the talk about the tank and draft position I find myself actually resenting the team for winning. It’s like betting the don’t on craps; it’s just not natural. The season isn’t over and the draft order is more than a month away so anything could happen I hope for the best of course. But it’s really getting hard to follow this team. In the beginning, rooting for a playoff spot, then still hoping for a miracle with all the injuries, and then ending up hoping for a top draft pick as consolation for (yet another) abysmal season. I’m just worn out right now and it’s probably a good idea to not be so interested right now.

    See y’all next season.

  32. pro-laps

Cbj always finding a way to fuck up

  33. JunesDepartmentStore

I’m just ready for this season to be over, so much toxicity in the server whether you want Bedard or you want the team to play well
