same shit they always pull somehow

  2. parkersr1

But the boys needed all of those morale victories am i rigjt? Right? They needed those « revenge » games to make up for early in the year. Or because that one fan base is annoying. Totally worth it.

They’re going to mess this up

  4. ddottay

When we win the lottery anyway all this handwringing is going to look silly

The Sharks have lost 13 out of 14, it’s pretty hard to be worse than that. I understand the frustration over winning games right now, but people just need to accept that professional athletes are never going to participate in a tank and intentionally play with anything less than 100% at all times. It just doesn’t happen. Look at the Houston Texans this season, they literally had the 1st overall pick in their lap and went out of their way to run a risky play that won the game but dropped them to #2. All the players care about is winning in the moment and can you really blame them? It’s their job to play hockey and win, not to do what’s mathematically optimal for the team’s long-term future.

  6. It irritates me how bad SJ and Chi are

  7. titanup1993

Jackets gonna fuck around and draft 6th

  8. As a Leafs/Jackets fan I’ve always loved coming down to watch both teams … we really hope you get first pick … shout out to the Flatiron grill our favourite place to go when we’re there lol

  9. Worst team going into the draft have a record of 10 wins (get the first overall pick) and 17 losses( didn’t win the draft). So finishing list doesn’t usually work.

  10. HelpfulYoghurt

Very low chance that Bedard will go to CBJ, no way that SJS wont overtank everyone.

In fact if Columbus will keep playing like this, it is entirely possible that Chicago and Anaheim will skip Columbus too. People should not get surprised at all if the lottery pick is something like 5 OA.

  11. CounterOk7688

He was going to Chicago the entire time anyway

  12. omcclosk1447

Knew they’d start winning when it literally doesn’t matter. Story of this franchise. I hope we still get Bedard but I don’t see us finishing with best odds anymore.

It’s pictures like this that made me glad my wife got a job in Seattle and I ended up moving there.

Columbus will always be my team in the east that I listen to while finishing up work though. It’s perfect because I get to turn it off as soon as it gets bad and my liver tests look a lot better.

  14. omcclosk1447

We are very close to finishing above Anaheim and Chicago. This is reaching dangerous territory. Anything outside of top 3 in this draft and we are going to continue to suffer. 1Cs don’t grow on trees and don’t hit FA very often and there is a reason for that. We need to finish at worst with the 2nd worst record. Falling further and we will continue to mire in mediocrity. There is a still falloff after top 3, especially for Cs.

  15. sergei-boobtitsky

This season is just the fucking worst no matter how you look at it. The Jackets were always gonna fuck this up and I feel stupid for ever thinking we’d get a player like Bedard

  16. anon_5180

Let’s be real, Bedard can’t go anywhere outside the eastern time zone. Bettman won’t allow it.

  17. redditistreason

    Gru meme:

    1. Punt Tarasov and Sillinger to the minors.
    2. Lose your Finn.
    3. Bring in a college center.
    4. Put in a backup of a backup goalie.
    5. Blow tank.
    6. Blow tank???

Haha, saw the score when we were up 4-2, almost laughed myself silly in disbelief… unfortunately, the Sharks appear to be better losers. Or the Isles are the Isles. They don’t tell you how confusing being a fan of a tanking team is.

  18. rixas18

Going to be completely honest it was always going to be hard to out tank the sharks spite the injury gods favoring us (though I don’t approve of their methods). We are #5th on SOS per tankathon (and Sharks are #6th). At least Chicago’s coach can will then to steal them games.

  19. IAmAChemicalEngineer

I just want to be semi-constantly good like the Pens or Caps. Bedard gives us the best odds of that. Winning a meaningless game against the Isles in mid-March does nothing for us long term.
