    Most undeserving L of all time. Rielly, Murray, unlucky bounces, and the refs selling us once again…

  2. leafsfan_58-34-16

    Welp, sometimes the better team loses

    *sometimes* because the refs gift them a 5v3 to start the game

    See y’all tomorrow! GLG

  3. labadee

    Pretty happy with the pushback from the buds. The effort was there most of the night. Onto the next

  4. burton4416

    Eh we outplayed a great team on their ice, not worried and the boys should rebound tomorrow

  5. CamThompson

    Tough loss, but we played well and really controlled the run of play after the first 10 minutes or so.

    Lots of positives to take from this game, not a lot to get bummed about. It would’ve been nice to snag at least the one point after tying it kinda late, but that was a fun Saturday night game.

  6. Of all the losses to get upset over, this isn’t one of them. If this game is played 10 times the leafs win it 7-8 times. They carried the play for basically 50 min against a top 3 team on the road.

  7. Fuuutuuuree

    Boys deserved to win tonight, but also have won a few this year they didn’t. I would take that effort every game. Caved them in for 45 mins, outshot them about 40-10 in that time. Kotchetkov had the game of his life. Just gotta limit the early damage

  8. Intelligent_Chair901

    Lilly gonna be on the bench in the playoffs. These turnovers that he’s making are way too important to ignore. Unacceptable at that stage of the game.

  9. toedragrelease

    M4TT MURR4Y.. another 4 goal night on 28 shots. Sighhhhhhh.

  10. virkulous

    i really dont understand rielly, what was he even doing on that GWG? like your only job is to defend aho in front of the net and he’s blasting off towards the point to pretend to block a shot?

  11. DangleCellySave

    What a game, we played good. Nothing to be upset about, we should have won but didn’t. Sometimes that happens

  12. Ryan0413

    Matt buddy it’d be nice if the Leafs didn’t need to score 5 goals to win whenever you’re in net

  13. Agreeable-Raccoon-82

    is it me or is there always a goal RIGHT after some grinding game-tying goal by the leafs

  14. NatureGivesAndTakes

    Samsonov has to start in the playoffs. He absolutely has to.

  15. freakypsycho

    Leafs dominated, dumb L with very costly mistakes and I haven’t been a Murray hater but he needs to either have that wraparound or control that rebound better cause you can’t make both those mistakes in one period

  16. Gear4Vegito

    I am ready to roll with Woll as the backup.

    **Matt Murray Last 8 Games:**

    * CAR – 4 GA (.852)
    * FLA – 2 GA (.943)
    * OTT – 4 GA (.923)
    * BUF – 4 GA (.862)
    * EDM – 4 GA (.846)
    * VAL – 4 GA (.883)
    * FLA – 4 GA (.500)
    * BOS – 4 GA (.882)

    This was Matt Murray’s 25th game of the season. He has a sub .900 SV% in 13/25 games and he has allowed 4+ goals in 12/25 games.

  17. FinalMalus

    Would’ve been nice to get a a point but that’s one of the better losses we’ve had all year. Papi coming back to MVP-form is way more encouraging than the result of this one game.

  18. blackswansonx

    Idk why Keefe didn’t put accairi line after game tying goal. Tavares line was struggling with Nylander invisible all night. need a solid defensive shift. and try to get to overtime. shame for mathews and his line they dominated all night.

  19. JRB2000

    Even when the Leafs were flying, you just had the sense they were going to lose on a stupid play or two. Frustrating game.

  20. Showtime98

    Lame loss 🙄, Auston was fun to watch at least.

  21. dtmaggot

    What the fuck is keefe thinking putting Reilly and lily on right after they tie it up???? Holy fuck

  22. cappo40

    So how we getting rid of Murr4y in the offseason? Giving up that first I am sure

  23. Strategyboyz21

    Just a classic Leafs game ngl

  24. Diaperguru

    I don’t really care about the L so much, the boys played very well against a solid team. We didn’t deserve to lose and the Canes we’re gifted a 5-on-3 to start the game. To me the biggest positive is that it looks like Auston is back.

  25. Bobsleftshoe

    Murray is just getting worse and worse. Save us Samsonov, you’re our only hope.

  26. shrederick

    Every time I start to think Matt Murray is turning a corner, he gives up a wraparound goal like it’s the 80’s and we’re back to square one.

  27. Nameless908

    Bad first period. Got our groove and dominated the rest of the game. A couple tiny mistakes late added up to the loss. JT was just throwing the puck around all night, super sloppy and frustrating to watch. Hard not to notice Rielly completely out to lunch on the *GLG* especially since he’s been under the microscope lately given our record without him is legitimately incredible. Glad Matthews seems to have found the net again.

  28. CANUSA130

    If you have good goaltending, it doesn’t matter where you play or who comes to town. They have to beat you.

  29. MutedHornet87

    Can we just skip the playoffs? I don’t want to be more depressed

  30. wristertopshelf

    Rielly and Lilly together after the tying goal… Keefe is not the brilliant tactician I thought he was

  31. diecorporations

    My god , so many clunker games. Zero fun.

  32. Grand-Amoeba1832

    Auston trying to carry this team on their back and they spoil it with crappy D and Murray and his automatic 4 goal spot. Leafs deserved to win this game.

  33. wristertopshelf

    Staple Rielly to the neutral zone… No more pinching, no more moonlighting as a winger

  34. PeanutButter91

    Matthews had 15 shots?! Sorry didn’t catch the game, but just checked the boxscore. Damn.

  35. OneeOftheseDayss

    The response after the tying goal by Matthews is my main concern. We can play “pin the blame on the donkey” of the night, but that response after tying it late in the 3rd is troublesome. No fuckn urgency, and let the Canes just have their way. C’mon on boys.
