The last one frustrates me I'm not driving 3 hours to watch a game for several hundred dollars for every game, that is insane. It's getting worse. The NHL and ESPN app will block you from watching games in your region with no explanation. My best guess is a deal with local broadcasters. I'm finding AHL and FPHL are way more fun to watch, coverage isn't great, but still way more entertaining, affordable and none of the nonsense outline in the video(well except the shoot outs).

There's a long running conspiracy theory that David Stern sent Bettman to the NHL to ensure that he would never have to worry about the NHL competing with the NBA. There has been literally zero evidence to disprove this theory.

Got a fanatics brand cap and the quality was bad. As for blackouts I watch the games through a piracy site which shows both home and visitors. Only time I would pay to watch hockey is if I go watch it live.
But, but – hockey is for everyone!!! The focus has been everything but the hockey product for a while now.
I would pay for a sportnet subscription, so I didn't have to quickly close explicit adds when streaming hockey's games with the family, lol except all the games are blacked out. So what's the point of the subscription, to watch 40% of the games? I ain't been to a nhl arena in 5-6 years, and ain't planning on being at one, I'm 10hrs from the closest arena. So the nhl literally just doesn't want me to watch hockey games.
Buttman served his purpose. He helped grow the game and restored the league to profitability over the past 30 years. It’s time for him to step aside and to let somebody else with a fresh and non-woke approach take over.
The one good thing that could come out of the fanatics switch is that we might get more interesting and alternative merch designs, something that football, basketball, and baseball all have us beat on.
Apparently, all of the NHL’s jerseys are made in Quebec, as well as the tissue used to make them. What happens, is that the company that has the contract simply gets to make the profits out of the jerseys sold.
Adidas or Fanatics, it doesn’t matter, the NHL jerseys are still going to be produced by the same company in Quebec that ensures the quality of those jerseys.

Bettman needs to retire man is ruining the league single handedly and I think they need to go back to the old divisional playoff format 1 v 4 , 2 v 3 much more exciting and that’s how you build rivalries which they have deliberately destroyed like Hawks and Wings

I canceled my subscription in the first 7 days of the season. it was blacked out. Just trying to scrape every penny out of fans pockets.

Bettman is single handedly driving the nhl into the ground. They’re even falling behind the MLS. They need to fire him and then look at how the NBA grew their league and take some notes
