The team is clearly playing better defensively now, but is that strictly because Tocchet is doing a better job than Boudreau? Adam Foote and Sergei Gonchar were brought in specifically to help out the team's defence. These guys were available before the Boudreau firing, but the management did not choose to bring them in until Tocchet was hired. It is water under the bridge now, but I don't think management really gave Boudreau a chance to succeed, and was happy to see him fail so they had an excuse to bring in Tocchet as they wanted.
Elliotte actually did have one of his better hair days today… (all things considered, that is)
I get the 'give it a rest' ask from the players.
