Rangers possibly most "talented" since Espo, the GAG line was before me. Any and all faults are because the coaching staff is either not telling players what to do?, or not enforcing, or dumb.
Igor has to be Igor. Yes you need to mix up shooters and PMs on PP.

I don't think a win against the Devils is as important as staying healthy. Honestly I hope they don't go too hard
I think guys like Patrick Kane and other members in the top know that they are here to help us in the playoffs and they are avoiding playing hard and getting hurt purposely
Rangers have a ton of skilled players. If you take away time and space, you can stymie them. I wonder if they can play a grittier game like usually happens when the playoffs start. Can they get the greasy goals? The fancy plays usually don’t work in the playoffs. A lot of goals are scored on rebounds, screens, etc. They will have to play differently, we saw what happened when Carolina stayed on top of them, removing their time and space. They will have to dump and chase when a play isn’t there. If they force it, they’ll give away the puck and cause odd man rushes. I just hope they can adapt. Also, teams will target their smaller players especially Fox. They must rise to the occasion and fight anyone who takes runs at the small and/or the skilled players. I wish they still had Reaves. If they do these things, they can be a cup contender. If not, first round exit.

Prior to last game I had many questions about Kane on the Rangers and what he could really bring, based on what we'd seen. After last game, I now think the Rangers can get the full Pat Kane experience – IF his linemates are Panarin and Trocheck. They were dominant in those two periods. Flying around. Chances every shift. O-zone possession. Good defense even. Tons of shots for everybody during their shifts including the d-men. It was beautiful.
If Kane is on that line, sky is the limit. If Kane is stuck w Kreider and Trocheck, however – they will not be a good line or produce much at all. And it will be mostly Kreider producing what there is, on odd goals. No real flow. A glorified checking line. Kane MAY produce better on it than he has lately; lately he has been literally not trying, bc he's given up on Kreider. But even w him trying, it won't be a good offensive line. Kane and Kreider have no chemistry, and Kreider doesn't have the skillset or style Kane needs in his other wing.
If Gallant leaves him w Kreider, the Rangers are a team w one scoring line. And will have a short playoffs imo. If Kane is allowed Panarin, the Rangers are as dangerous as any team in the league. The last two periods of that last game were eye opening. If Gallant puts Kreider back in that spot he will deserve to be fired after the season (after they inevitably lose, and Kane isn't a factor offensively).
Kane is a defensive liability and being assertive is one thing but how can he adjust for us to have a fighting chance against Boston ? Have you seen Boston play ? How can they be stopped ?
