There was once a team from Massachusetts that was believed unstoppable, then a New York team defeated them in the big game.
Basically what I am saying is…. Get Eli Manning as an honorary assistant coach for our run.
Our D has tightened up the last couple weeks. Makes a huge difference. It’s a good sign.
That’s actually nuts. I feel like we were way behind the leaders not that long ago.
And yet we are 18th in the league in xGoals according to the model. I would love to see an in-depth explanation about why the model is so wrong about the Rangers. For example every other team that has clinched on moneypuck has a >45% chance to make it out of the first round and we have a lower chance of making it than Pittsburg despite them only having a 72% chance of making the playoffs. This means that the Rangers have gotten ridiculously lucky or that the model is very wrong about the Rangers. The oddest part about all of this is the model seems to work pretty well for most other playoff teams and I wonder what is so different about the Rangers that makes them such an oddity.

God Boston is scary they all know eachother so well and are such a “Team” and play as such. I hope the Rangers star power overcomes them if they meet.

My ideal playoffs this year.
1. Rangers beat the ever living shit out of the Devils and then the Islanders
2. Boston goes up 3-0 and The Rangers reverse sweep then, avenging the Yankees
3. The Rangers then win the cup over the Kings in 5 games with 4 straight overtime wins to end the series in MSG
