En demandant à Don Granato s’il hésiterait à lancer Devon Levi pour son premier départ dans la LNH alors que les Sabres ont encore une chance de se qualifier pour les séries éliminatoires et que les points sont vitaux… il a répondu « Aucune hésitation.
Asking Don Granato if he'd have any hesitation throwing Devon Levi in for his first NHL start while the Sabres still have a chance to make the playoffs, and the points are vital…. he answered "No hesitation."

Trial by fire, let the kid shine
My favorite thing about Granato is he doesn’t shelter his players.
Cue for Drago: “If he dies, he dies”
It would be great if they could wait until Samuelsson returns but I’m unsure of when that would be. Hopefully the blue line steps up their game to shelter the kid…as they should.
I don’t see why there would be any hesitation to get the kid some reps before the end of the year. You’re not going to derail his development with a handful of starts to see where he’s at, worst case he’s not ready and he starts next season in the A.
Philly would be a perfect start to get him and the team riled up. Get a taste of the chaos.
