I am dumfounded that there even were any extension talks. Blasphemy.
I mean… he coaches hockey, which is played on ice. I figured it would’ve gone cold ages ago. /s
I’m not against a coaching change, but who would be a good replacement?
I think he’s a great coach. He shakes up the lines way too much imo. Before the new year we were flying. Then he started shaking all the lines up for some reason and never stopped. Dude needs to see what has been working and stick with it.

For the love of God, if you get rid of Lavy, do NOT hire Spencer Carbury.

Honestly, with all the injuries, I think Lavi lost the room because there was too much uncertainty and not feeling him trying to protect the players.
I’d also say if we keep him, make changes at the assistant coach level. Heck, even if we don’t keep him, make changes. Our goalies need a better coach as does our power play.

The Caps are on the downhill slide do to the age of their players. They are where the Sharks were just a few short years ago.
Need some fresh faces and new ideas in the building for the inevitable rebuild coming, not another old recycled head coach. Would love to poach Brunette from NJ in the off-season.

Shocking as Kuzy is unhappy and we cant get the value that he is worth. Seems as if he isnt the only one fed up with Lavy either.
I don’t hate Lavi, but he’s just not the coach for us.
Lavy is who we should have replaced Trotz with instead of Reirden. He is clearly not who we need now that we are out of contention. He should at least be playing the kids and seeing what we have.
