Classic harold ballard. The arena was in rough shape because he was a cheapass. He didn't have financial problems. He just wanted more money. There was a pedo ring in the basement of maple leaf gardens during his time as owner. I'm surprised he didn't find a way to sell tickets to it. He used the cup banners to catch paint drippings then eventually sold them because he wanted the money.
