Quel est le joueur numéro 1 que vous voulez que les Sabres ciblent cette intersaison?

His explanation as to why this would happen is ridiculous

    Least desperate Sabres fan:

No team in the NHL would tempt fate by offer sheeting a player from the team with the deepest pockets in the league.

Buffalo offer sheets Miller, we offer sheet Dahlin when he’s next up.

  4. bigboyguzma

Sabres fan here. Yeah, don’t think Dolan and Drury would let Miller walk like this.

  5. SpaceBass18

Lol why would the Rangers let an extremely young, home grown top pairing defenseman leave

  6. Zer0flames

Who would sign an offer sheet to go from NYC to Buffalo?

They can eat my little ass. Not happening.

He’s actually right – the Sabres should aggressively pursue him. He’s a very good player on a team with no cap space to spare to bring everyone back so in theory he is poach-able .

The thing is the NHL is dumb and GMs are too afraid of rocking the boat and stealing each others’s great young players at fear of other GMs offer sheeting their’s in the future. If Elias Pettersson and Matt Barzal we’re not given an offer sheet I can’t imagine Miller would receive one. It worked against the Rangers when they could’ve just poached Pettersson but now GM bro code is gonna help them about as stupid as it may be.

Why does this have so many upvotes lol

We are in a bad position for getting someone offersheeted honestly, but the important part of that is always- would the player want to leave? You look at KK in CAR he wanted out of MTL and signed to a big payday. Would any of our players be desperate to leave? Personally I don’t think so, then you’ve gotta think everyone knows Dolan is insane and would cut off his own leg to spite whatever team offer sheets our players. That combined makes me think it doesn’t happen, but we’re definitely in a precarious spot.

Always funny when newer fans discover the offer sheet process and think their team will put itself in the cross hairs like that.

  13. ObviousKangaroo

lol he’s not hitting the open market

  14. Pork-Roll

I live Buffalo a lot and always have but this dude on something

  15. No-Search-7394

Ah, yes! I’m sure a young talent like Miller is just DYING to leave NYC to go travel 6 hours to Western New York – the home of poverty and… wings? I guess? 🤷🏽‍♂️

We would travel to Buffalo a few times a year with my junior team(24 year ago👴🏼) and I was always shocked by how ghetto it was. For whatever reason I always figured it was a nice, quiet, rural place. I was wrong.

HA. I mean you can’t blame him for wanting Miller but that’s pure delusion lmao

  17. inTikiwetrust

Chances of an offer sheet are slim to none, but if they offer him $7M they can have him. It would hurt to let him go but we can’t roll the dice on an a huge contract like that.

  18. SheevTheGOAT

Lmaooo they think they got a shot 💀

  19. toxicvegeta08

God dammit Sam whyd you have to say « a great defensive play by von miller » when we played them the first time.

Nah but no way we let kandre leave

  20. lionson76

Do people not realize the player has to *accept* the offer sheet? Unless Buffalo offers a ridiculous AAV, which they won’t, why would Miller want to leave the contending Rangers?

Moreover, don’t they have Dahlin and Power on the left? Why would they want another LD?

  21. Smorgas-board

    1) offer sheets are still very rare in the NHL. The Aho retaliation from the Hurricanes in getting Kotkanemi scared a lot of teams. And we have the pettiest owner in the league

    2) would the Sabres wants to pay the compensation? OP himself states a 1, 2, and a 3 picks

  22. MildGooses

Hey, let ‘em be. It’s fun to pretend
