Cant beat one non playoff team to save our playoff chances… story of the flames

  2. Salticracker

    Shootouts are ducking lame

  3. TangerineCold2174

So if we go 2-0 and they go 1-2 we are still in?

  4. Ok_Professional_105

    Ok lets see Coronato please

  5. cartographer721

Really Sutter? Huberdeau and Kadri to start the shootout?

  6. iggyisgoat

Maybe if this team could show up for 60min instead of 20 they’d be in a playoff spot

  7. GrafNebelgeist

    Shootouts fuckin suck.

That’s all I have to say about that.

  8. super6646

The thing is losing in ot against the Canucks could’ve been forgiven… if they beat Chicago.

Season is toast. They need all the bounces to go their way. Even with their hot stretch Winnipeg has just enough runway. It’s done.

  9. Duck_Caught_Upstream

So we’re still kind of alive???

Win both, hope Winnipeg loses 2?

  10. marveldcomnibus9

Those were the worst 3 shootout attempts I have seen.

  11. luluwtac

OT was nuts. Really demonstrates what they can do when they actually want it.

Markstrom was great the whole game. It was defence that held us back in the first period

  12. Comfortable-Ad-7158

    Shootouts are garbage.

  13. marbsarebadredux

Well, it wasn’t a pleasure watching, but it was a pleasure going down with this mediocre ship with yall

  14. noor1717

Well playoffs are extremely slim now. I want some changes in the offseason.

But seriously are we planning to re sign lindholm and Hannifin? Because they will both get long term big raises. I’m not sure if we can sign both of them long term. It may be smart to trade one of these guys while their value is sky high and could help bring young, fast high skill prospects back.

These games shouldn’t even be this close. You look the Kraken and they blew out Chicago 7-3, Oilers blew out the Sharks 6-1.

When you’re playing against inferior teams these games shouldn’t be lose. But I guess that just means the Flames are inferior.

  16. Thumper86

This seems par for the course. Have the Flames put in a solid 60 minute effort even five times this season?

Have they ever done it two games in a row?

    *sigh*
    See you Monday.

  17. MonkeySailor

Flames can get a maximum of 94 points now and lose all tiebreakers I believe. So the Jet’s just need to go 1-1-1 to make it.

What a sucky way to end the season.

  18. matt1101

i sure wish the flames played a full 60 minutes tonight, great third period but too little too late.

    Fucking shootouts.

  19. SupahPlaya

NazHIM Kadri shoots 3 on 1. Thanks Naz

  20. Maclammy

Marky was great tonight. If we had a better 1st and 2nd period, this game would be a different story. Of course, this hilarious season will continue to be hilarious until the very end.

  21. Weekly-Tomato8577

    Stop letting huberdeau take penalties

  22. Rivendel45

We really don’t have players that can do dekes huh

  23. cheesesnck

Low key think sutter put Kadri and huberdeau in the shootout to humiliate them

  24. laboufe

Why do people even want to make the playoffs? We cant beat chicago and you think we somehow beat the top team in the west? Give me a break, season is over.

  25. Top_Tumbleweed

I know the Sutter stuff is controversial but seriously, why wouldn’t you staple Kadri to the bench the way he’s played the last 3 games? Why would you put him and Huberdeau in the SO, why would you send your rookies who are bringing life to the team down to minors the coaching choices this year have been baffling

  26. likethemouse

Was a entertaining OT.. shootout killed the momentum and my vibe

  27. psychedelicfoo

Call me negative but this team is pathetic. We could have easily put ourselves in a playoff position but we’ve lost to teams worse than us all season long. It’s a fucking joke and embarrassing that we’re still hanging on with how bad we’ve played this year. Such a disappointing season with such high expectations. Things need to change.

  28. ThreeBison

I hate to dog on a guy, but how many freaking minutes was Lucic out there tonight?

  29. So now we have to win the remaining 2 games and the jets have to lose 2 of 3?

We’ll know our fate once and for all by midweek…

  30. DylanTruo

We may never see coronato play this season

  31. MonkeySailor

The worst part about this is that it probably means Coronato/Pelletier/Ruzicka won’t see another game this season.

And that’s honestly just a horrible indictment on the state of this franchise. A mediocre pick off the backs of a bunch of mediocre and aging vets from a coach that’s lost all perspective. Whatever happens, the organization desperately needs to clean house.

  32. bbblllaaaiirrr

All I know is that I hope ownership is taking a hard look at this roster, the cap situation and the UFA’s expiring. Because things can get really ugly for this franchise if they aren’t smart
