@Kraken de Seattle

    This is a scenario I [posted about a few days ago here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SeattleKraken/comments/12gtiib/potential_playoff_opponents_scouting_report/jfm0e7o/)

    Basically, the Kraken can finish in either the WC1 spot or 3rd in the Pacific. Depending on how the Knights, Oilers, Kings, and Kraken finish out, it’s possible that the Kraken could jump the Kings into 3rd in the division and then play the Oilers *unless* Edmonton wins their remaining games and jumps Vegas for 1st in the division.

    I think if Seattle beats Vegas both times in regulation, it’s pretty likely that Edmonton does win the division and sets up Vegas-Seattle in the Pacific 2-3 match. Edmonton would just need 2 points from their 2 remaining games @COL and SJS to tie Vegas in points and jump ahead via tiebreaker.

    If Seattle loses both games, especially in regulation, it likely results in Vegas winning the conference and the Kraken playing the central division champion as the WC1 team. That’s looking like either Colorado or Dallas.

    If both Vegas and Seattle get points from these 2 games (like each team wins once and/or there are OT games) that opens the possibility for Edmonton-Seattle in the first round as either 2-3 in the Pacific **or** PAC1 vs WC1.

    This is what I’ve been thinking as well. As much as I’d love to see the Kraken win the final two games, I think they have a much better chance of winning a round against the Avs over the Oilers. If we have to play the Wild or Stars, it will be a tougher battle, but I think the Oilers would be worse.

    You gotta beat them all anyways. But would love to see a series win and fresh legs oilers is a worst-case scenario lol

    Yup, I’ve been talking about this for a couple of weeks now. Better to lose and play the Avs than win and potentially play Edmonton.

    That’s a hard NO on facing McDavid round 1

    To me, the scariest first round opponents are colorado, edmonton, dallas and vegas, in that order. all of them are very good teams and if people have differing opinions on EDM/DAL/VGK i’d hear you out. what i can’t understand is how lightly i’ve seen people take COL both here and on the main sub. these are the defending champions who had a ridiculously injury prone year and STILL are looking to finish top of their CONFERENCE. that is insane to me, and i want nothing to do with them. if you want colorado in R1, please elaborate below! i want to understand.
