There is a Korean kid who plays for the Pirates, Ji Hwan Bae. He can play multiple positions (2nd, SS, CF, LF) and be that dynamic catalyst leadoff type that the Padres desperately need when their power bats don't show up. He can manufacture runs by laying down bunts and stealing bases. He can fly. And he can platoon with Kim and give the Padres better offensive production from 2nd base

Ouch. That stings. That pitch by Ottavino to end the game was physics defying. Scherzer was on fire. Hugh wasn’t. The crowd was fired up and loud.
The one thing that keeps this from being depressing is remembering that these are the Mets and the Mets are shaping up to being one of the top teams this year. Hopefully San Diego will be able to do the same, but they need to do better against the Mets.
