  1. We played well, they had some seeing shots. That stop on Skinner’s wrap around sealed the deal. Our young players really matured over the last couple of weeks. Our home record killed us

  2. We need to go after a shutdown defenseman. We need to start hitting more. At least 22 to 25 hits a night, a in your face hockey. Pray we sign Ryan Johnson. I think we will.

  3. They Surprised me this year! Stay healthy next year and get to the dance.

    Rest in Power Tequila

No word on RJ… I’ll keep my ear to the ground on that front.

  4. What a turnaround season! Stay tuned for a Sabres cup run! Proud of the boys! No need to hang our heads fans just show up next year and sell out the Keybank Center!

  5. RJ was on the pre-game for the Rangers game yesterday. He took his grandson to NYC to watch a Sabres game.

  6. Clearly, this team is much better with Levi in net. If Buffalo had had Levi sooner, we’d be in the playoffs

Next year – I expect much better results

  7. We still have a chance… we win the next two and ny loss their next game. We tie at 91 with ny, a tied standing goes by win record… we would have 42 ny 41. We make the playoffs. Am I wrong?

  8. Ya know it sucks getting so close but man even though our season will be ending in 2 games the future is as bright as any team in the league they will be a team tough team to play for yrs to come and we deserve how good this team will become

  9. To be honest I still haven't given up, my hype has just transferred to the next season. We have never been this close in a decade. This team has disappointed me so many times in the last 10 years. Not today. I will await the next season with fervor. Good shit Roam, you really are the best Sabres content on youtube. Looking forward to seeing many more videos.

  10. The kids line really hit the ground running at the beginning of the season and slowly started to fade(production wise) and towards the end they really started to step up again I am really excited to see quinn and peterka take the next step for next season. You could tell they really wanted to win these last 5 games and really got some great offensive pressure throughout this stretch. Think we are going to have to get rid of victor in the offseason to make room for some new acquisitions and for our younger guys, there's just not enough room and the sabres have gotten too talented for him to only be one dimensional player. Mitts is another person like olofsson, at the beginning they were "trade bait" in my opinion, but unlike victor, he has earned his spot on the team next year, he really took a big step in his game from last year and i think he still has more in the tank if provided with the right minutes/linemates next season. Lots of positives to take into the offseason and next season to pick up where they left off this season. This was the year of IMPROVEMENT for this team, hopefully next will be PROVE IT! GO SABRES!

  11. If you look at the skinner goal, every pass and the shot on goal was all backhanded. Skinner backhanded to Tuch, bh to Mitts, bh to Skinner who bh it in the goal. That must be an NHL first. Thompson was unnoticeable in the game, and another missed one timer. Sadly as I looked at the other scores in the 2nd intermission, Chicago is leading the pens 1-0 and the Sabres can't help themselves. Outshooting NJ 25 to 19 at this point and wondering how they don't have at least 2 or 3. I am proud of the group. Next season with Levi to start I don't think we will see 8 game skids. Though the 8 game skid to me wasn't even the breaking point, it was a failed March. They were 5-10 in that month when they needed the wins the most. They had two 4 game losing streaks in that time. Overall I am so happy for the boys who weren't even supposed to be in a playoff race let alone a run to game 80. Watch out next year. The kids got playoff experience in at least. The last 2 weeks were genuine playoff intensity.

  12. Please fo reviews of the Rochester Americans as they get into the playoffs if possible.
Appreciate all of your hard work

  13. I was on my way home when I checked my phone and found they lost. I was bummed because our loss clinched Florida's spot in the playoffs. and now we are mathmatically eliminated. Still, after the last few years, being still in it in game 80 is a huge step forward. Like you I am too many miles away to know somethings like RJ's status (West Coast) but I still love my sabres.. and to quote the best fans of all times… "Thank you Sabres!" They brought excitement back to being a sabres fan and many around the league commented this year… this is a fun team to watch.. win or lose…
Yes, they have some decisions for next year.. what team doesn't… They have some prospects in Savoie and others in the AHL who are really showing that they are taking steps forward… I really think that Adams, that guy who was totally unknown when he was hired not all that long ago… Has really done his homework for his draft picks. Now to finish the year and hopefully.. get Ryan Johnson signed. Or non-top 3 d-men have looked not so good even with Stillman and Lybushkin. though Joki and Olofsson below -20.. that's just plain bad… we need to replace and move those two while they still have value. I can live with guys near 0 and even -10.. but when you are that far from zero… you are and even strength liability. Levi looks like he will be our primary goalie next year.. at his age, he should be around a long time. Not sure if EP ever would have worked here.. sad we had to move him so we got something. I would have loved to see Levi and EP as our 1 and 2 for a long time to come.. kinda like the Edmonton tandem of Moog and Fuhr during their 80's cup dominance. So, hope to see 2 more wins to close it out.. we can catch Pitt and that would be fun to be the first team outside rather than the second… We'll have to see… Go Buffalo!

  14. I really appreciate the effort and knowledge you put into your videos. Buffalo native living in S Central PA.
Can’t swing a cat around here without hitting 3 Penguins fans talking smack on the Flyers and Caps. For the first time in a decade, other team’s fans here are talking about and watching the Sabres. Especially when we were top 5 in goals. The joke here is-secret to Sabres playoff berth: play the home opener in March.
I listen to Sabres games on the radio. Your pre- and post-game insights really put things in context with the players. Thanks again.

  15. At least 2 capable D and another goalie ,unless UPL improves his game. NJ allowed in front of Levi uncontested.

  16. Brother. It was a great fun ride. I had such a dam good time with sabz fans this season. Most enjoyable since Danny B days. So excited for the future

  17. WAYNE YOU SAID 50 WINS NEXT SEASON. I AM GOING TO SAY 57 WINS. LETS CHECK BACK NEXT YEAR AND SEE WHO IS CLOSER.

  18. I feel your frustration on this one, he didn’t start when we beat them earlier this year but they did switch to Vanacek, I’m still proud of our team, and it gives me excitement for next year, Levi is definitely going to take these experiences and have a chip on his shoulder and a mission to get better LETS GO BUFFALO!!! Thank You Sabres

  19. RJ is well, Rob Ray was interviewing and joking around with him just the other day.

  20. Thanks for dedication Wayne and all the Roam fans here for sticking with the team till the very end.
I have been a fan since 2012 so this is the most excited I have ever been as a Sabres fan.

  21. Gutsy effort despite all our numerous complaints and made a real fight of it. The recent losing streak that included the blowout losses to Dallas and Nashville were just too much to overcome. This is my worry about Granatos soft skinned fire wagon hockey philosophy. It doesn't work if you don't outscore the opponent. The irresistible force almost always loses to the immovable object. But all things considered it's better than we imagined it might be, our disappointment proves how far they went. Next year they'll make us proud. 😉

  22. Anyone not proud of the boys or seriously pissed about missing the playoffs is an entitled baby.

  23. Devon Levi & Sabres are on the right path I have no doubt, play-offs next year for sure! Great show, and touching ending about your loss, but Sabres future looks bright…

  24. RJ is fine. He’s been with the team the past couple of days. He’s traveled to the games with his grandson. He posted on his ig saying he was there last night

  25. If the Sabres can add a Varlamov then I would move on from UPL. Just adding a experience defenseman to this roster is all I would do outside of letting the youth taking roster spots.
