Don’t need him but would love to have him

Burroughs is an interesting player… does everything you could possibly ask from your 7th defender and is a BC guy… loves playing on this team.

It also won’t surprise me if he isn’t back next year though.

  3. Heart and soul type of player like Stecher except more physical, the team should definitely bring him back.

I want him to be back but they seem to be planning not to re-sign.

Love to have him back on league min, but Burrough was a Benning signing so JR and Allvin might opt to sign probably another reclamation defenseman who is younger and has more upside

He reminds me a lot of Biega when he was with us. Solid 7th D that plays a tough game despite their size. Wouldnt be opposed to bringing him back but I also wouldnt mind the spot going to McWard, Brisbois, Rathbone, Wolanin or someone else they may bring in.

  7. He needs to be our backup D. Can never have enough. Either in Abbotsford or the bigs.

He’s not he best d man but he hits and plays rough

The real question though, is do we really want him?

The team can’t change if we continue to bring the same players back every year. We need to get over attachments to certain players.

Burroughs? Do we really need him?

Depth defense. We need depth in every aspect. Never hurts to have depth for super cheap.

You don’t pay your third or fourth liners 3mil or whatever. Can’t hurt bringing him back purely for depth.

He isnt the greatest defensively but hes probably the only one on the team rn that would fight someone for a dirty hit other than miller. His physicality is something that the rest of the team is lacking, other than a couple other guys.

I think he has a lot of love for the city and team because hes from here and that means he values his spot on the team. He is a good slot for a 7th D to come in and out when the rookies need to get their head back in the game. For now, i think he is a good choice to keep on a cheap contract

Yes, he’s excellent and cheap – fights and stfu

  15. I feel like if this management group was going to bring him back it would’ve been done already. I think they see other players they want to try out in this role.

I think he comes back. I’ve noticed Burroughs being one of Quinn’s more consistent line mates in the last few games. I’m not saying he should be Quinn’s partner next year, just that the alignment between management and coaching has been giving them a good look at Burroughs specifically. I love the guy, he’s my boy. Hope Jim and Alvin feel the same

He’s a great 7 or 8, sure but no. They do not “have” to bring him back. I’m sure they could upgrade
