I love that Marek has a Sprong hard on. One of the few National guys that’s is constantly singing his praises.

Said it on the r/hockey post: He may have priced himself out of Seattle.
40-50pt scorers can easily pull $4mil-$5mil/yr, and Sprong has arbitration rights. I dunno that they’re going to have that kind of cap space for a guy who’s going to be bottom 6.
The Kraken have to re-sign Dunn and Borgen this summer already. That’s probably already going to result in them letting Soucy walk in free agency. They’re also probably wanting to get Wright some ice time, along with a few other rookies and minor leaguers. So probably at least one or two forwards on their way out, and Sprong, Donato, and Geekie are all on expiring deals.
Unless the coaching staff really really likes him now (which… they let him walk this past off season already despite a Strong showing in his first few games…) and he’s willing to take a team friendly deal, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of the odd ones out from that list.

Liked Sprong and his gold chain from the first game. He adds a bite to the Kraken that others have trouble bringing in.

I don’t understand why Sprong is still getting such low ice time and stuck on the 4th line. He has matched Bjorkstand’s points this season while getting scratched games and getting about 5 fewer min of ice time a game.
The guy makes plays happen on his own. He skates hard, drives the net and has a great shot. His efforts directly leads to pucks in the net.
So what happens next year, we can’t wait to put Wright on the ice and we let Sprong walk. Then we are all going to be asking why our offensive numbers are down compared to last season.
