Toews is the last of the dynasty to hit the road. The interview of him by Sharp, you could see them both trying not to tear up. I wasn’t as successful. I remember back when this sub was massive, with so many new fans (myself one of them) that Doc Blue used to have to make entire threads to explain some random rule that had fucked us at the time.

Anyone else’s allergies been acting up all day and now worse after seeing this?

As someone who only heard of the sport because of Toews and Kane, seeing Toews leaving makes me so sad bro… Thanks Captain, forever T19

That was OK. However Toews deserves a documentary. I personally have been so far removed from how good he was and how much he meant to our team, I’m emotional. Kane has kept being elite and Toews had his battle with illness. Toews was/is/always will be Captain.

    Fuck the blues

Oilers fan, I come in peace.

Used to love going to Oilers games when the Hawks were in town. Toews was an amazing skater and finisher. In 2010, I really hoped that he would be named Team Canda Captain. He was a beast in that series. Really going to miss him.

So glad I was able to experience his last game in person. I admittedly cried a little bit during the video tribute and afterwards. I thought I was gonna hold it together but I broke.

I was lucky enough to use a (distant) relative’s season tickets during Kane’s and Toews’ rookie year. The Hawks were bad, like VERY BAD, so none of the family ever wanted to go.

My cousin and I watched the United Center come back to life. From 3,000 people to their first sellout. We watched that place become the house that Toews and Kane built.

We were there when it was announced that FINALLY, all 82 games would be on TV the next season. The Madhouse practically came unglued.

I feel so lucky to have watched his entire career here. What a legend.

Ducks fan coming in peace. Toews had an amazing career. Wishing him the best in wherever he goes from here. He was supremely annoying whenever we played you guys but his talent was unmistakable.
