Actions speak louder then words. I hope he can replicate this back half in the whole season next year.

Miller needs an asshole coach to drive him. Everyone loved Bruce because Bruce is such a likable guy – but I think Miller and Bruce became too buddy, buddy and they lost focus on correcting « the details » in Millers’ play as a result. Miller played well under Green because Green can be a bit of an asshole. Tocchet is firm, yet fair from the little sample size we’ve seen. He holds players accountable – If they play like shit, he’ll call them out on it, and at the same time, find ways to correct it.
Myers is another story though. He looks like a lost puppy out there, and I fear its nothing physical, but rather his inability to wrap his head around the way he’s expected to play.

This makes a lot of sense, he was pretty bad for the first chunk of the season, but pretty good for the rest of it.

I’m here for his quote 💯
What more could we currently ask of him as fans? He’s acknowledged his struggles and has identified the positive changes to his game.
I really like JT Miller and his grittiness. The guy is someone who’s willing to put the team on his back. We saw it more often in 21/22 but I’m still on the Miller hype bus waiting to see where it takes us with eager anticipation.
I just wish the guy was 27 with this new contract starting but I bet he feels the same way! As soon as that NMC kicks in I’m ordering a jersey and wearing it proudly.

I was one of the biggest critics of Miller’s first half, the fact he has owned up to it has actually given me a lot of respect for him. When Miller is dialed in, that 8mil contract is a bargain. I do hope he has learned from the first half and become better because of it. Because he really is one of if not the best player on the ice when he’s focused in and not in his own way emotionally.

8 million dollars can be pretty hard to skate with.

Hey, that’s a LOT more self aware than before, and I for one will accept that wholeheartedly. Players go through ups and downs, it happens, but being BLIND about it is not acceptable. Glad he can own up to it

I wonder what really happened in the first half of the season. The “shit show” was obviously the result, but what caused it? The coaches? The players? Or else?

I hope he shows up to training camp full of piss and vinegar and is SO rambunctious that he hip checks OEL in practice which LTIR’s OEL for the season (but somehow not impacting OELs quality of life because I wish him nothing but the best)

And [from Faber](https://twitter.com/chrisfaber39/status/1646745482767785986?s=46&t=7fabqgtgp69dNA1d51vxFw): Players will meet with the media tomorrow, while Tocchet and Allvin will speak to the media on Monday. Doesn’t look like Rutherford and/or Aquilini will talk to the media.
