Hard work determination, the right trades, the only holes we have are three on three OT which our goalies need more practice with and our players need to work with also. I’d say is one area needed ore playoff work.
But it’s the coaching as well and skinner from bakers field I’m surprised it’s taken them this long to bring up Jay woodcraft. Thank god Cambell got his game settled in finally too.

The difference of mcdavid becoming a leader is hes always led by example. Now his behavior and attitude demand it. You should see when he loses a game. Im sure u have all seen his post game interviews. Now does he verbally demand it? I dont know. Im not in the locker room. But that could be the difference this years is he is.

The mental & physical determination, focus, concentration keys (ie: positioning, zoning, etc.), grit, playing as a 'unit', the EDM/oil are driven by such passion (as mentioned, and not to say other teams are not as well).
It took a slough of decisions from the entire team, family, supporters, fans, etc. of EDM/oil, to reach such goals…and it's 'paying/ payed off.'
The EDM/oil unit/ team, is/are 'together' as one.

Everyone focuses on Mcdavid and Neo-Leon due to he records they shatter with regularity….but they fail to identify how and why these 2 players are able to produce how they produce….its not just who and what the Individuals are it is the Firewagon System the Oilers use that enables the Greatness to shine through… FIREWAGON HOCKEY is not Pond Hockey like some offensive NHL Clubs have tried to play in the past…this is Possesion Heavy Firewagon Offense for 60 minutes…..thats how the Oilers enable Mcdavid and Draisaitle to push the Club forward….but they have no defense and no they cannot flip a switch and play Defensively sound Hockey on Demand….and Woodcroft and Company very well know this and they plan on outscoring the NHL Officials and their Opponents using Firewagon 60 minute offense to win the Cup. So have hte Oilers started clicking at the right time?…IMHO no they have just played Firewagon Hockey right till the last game under Regular Season Dynamics and this does not mean they are "clicking in Playoff mode"….remember Nick that it takes an entire Team and System to support what Mcdavid and Neon-Leon are doing here and that means EVERYTHING is geared to supporting that focus so when you break it down the Oiler play a team System thats based on small cheats and shortcuts like holds and hooks and Picks and Interference and cheating the Line Changes things which are really ILLEGAL and pretty much ignored during the regular Season in the name of providing exciting on-ice product for the NHLs Fanbase…..I mean the Oilers play a hitless style of Hockey all of their contact is designed to interfere and slow down opposition players not to break cycles or hold the blueline everything is designed to cut off every opposition player so their Aces can have every puck and thats a joke because it ends up being a whole team of guys just setting illegal pick plays all game long and never really hitting and playing real NHL Playoff Hockey . I dont think they are ready for the Playoffs from a Coaching and a Defensive Perspective…I see the same results as last year sooner or later they will be SWEPT in dramatic fashion they will not go down in a 7 game series they will be Outcoached and thats what a Sweep really is.. The Regular Season is about Players playing and producing but the Playoffs is about Elite Coaching taking over completely. The Oilers are wishing they could play Regular Season Hockey to win the Stanley Cup and have broken lots of Records this year to show that they can play Regular Season style hockey….but I am afraid its all about the Coaches and this is why they make it a 7 game series to ensure that the truly best Team advances… I apologise to disgruntled Oilers Fans for Moma2 saying that Connor"Cheat-Code" McDavid cannot outscore a Head Coaches weaknesses…so nope Nick the Oilers are far far far from ready for the Playoffs IMHO.
