At the end of the day, they’re co-workers. They don’t have to be best buddies, they just need mutual respect and a good working relationship.

It’s tough to say from the outside looking in, but it really feels like them both being forced to step into larger leadership roles after Horvat left has really helped their dynamic too.

This sounds like the making of a buddy cop movie. Petey uses logic and intelligence and Miller has a no-nonsense attitude, and together they always get the job done

A statement like this means not much, because nobody is going to shit on their coworker. That being said, us observers thinking we know the interpersonal relationships of all the players off of rumors and body language is silly. Unless they break out into a fistfight in the Costco parking lot or buy a duplex together in Kits it is pretty impossible for us to know what they really think.

JT and Petey seemed so tired to be still talking about this. It is clear they have had differences but they are co-workers and are working to be a team. Hopefully this isn’t a constant story next season. (Hopefully that means they are winning)

Idk where this narrative that they have to be best buds comes from it’s wild. Like JT said himself, they are personally very different people, it’s like asking you to be friends with some random guy off the street who doesn’t share any interests with you. I’m sure there’s almost nobody who’s personal friends with all of their co-workers, but that doesn’t mean you can’t work together and achieve success together

There’s no rule that says you have to be friends with the people you work with. As long as they work together efficiently while on the job, then what happens off the ice isn’t very important.

I truly think with Horvat leaving a leadership vacuum, the dynamic has changed for the better, in that all of the alternate captains had to step up and show some leadership capacity in some way. With Petey and Miller, they have somewhat brought out the best in each other because they both have such opposite personalities. I’m liking that they are working in cohesion now. And I’ve noticed the body language towards each other have also improved since Tochett’s arrival and this was very evident in Petey’s 40th goal. Hopefully this improved relationship carries on to the next season.
