Maybe Rod is pretty confident with both guys, but I’m only pretty confident with Raanta at this point. Andersen just hasn’t been the same this season. The first two periods of the last game I was hopeful that the old Freddie could be returning but that third period was ugly.

I mean, yez, Raanta has been much more reliable especially lately but it’s not like we can play him for every game. We just have to hope Freddy figures out whatever has been dogging him lately. I do wish we were using Kooch instead but he’s not perfect either.

I want to see Raanta as much as anyone but, if the coaching staff is okay with Freddie then we gotta just ride with that decision.
We got game 7 at home and I don’t think the islanders are gonna just roll us if they get one bad game past Freddie.

i know a lot of us want to see kooch called up, but honestly i’m not sold on his composure. playoffs are high intensity, high stress, and he doesn’t have a great track record with keeping his cool

the hockey guy posted a vid about canes vs isles (as he did with all other playoff matchups) and mentioned that he thinks coaching staff goes with andersen to start. do I agree? no. am I a coach? also no.
