Suite à la disponibilité médiatique de fin de saison de l’équipe, Bruce Garrioch de Postmedia rapporte que DeBrincat n’a pas fait preuve d’engagement lorsqu’il a été interrogé sur une éventuelle prolongation de contrat avec le club. Il a ajouté que le directeur général Pierre Dorion pourrait chercher à échanger l’attaquant si une prolongation à long terme n’est pas en place d’ici le repêchage de la LNH en juin.

WTF am I seeing here? This is embarrassing. DeBrincat is clearly someone you wanna keep. He's had a down year but I guarantee you next year he'll be back to scoring 35+ goals. If the Sens trade him I'm gonna be hella disappointed
