    I might be wrong for this, but I genuinely feel like Jon Cooper strategically tells his players to pump the breaks during the regular season once they know they are in a playoff spot. They did this EXACT same thing last season, where they looked pretty bad in the final stretch, and then once playoffs come, they just look like a completely different team. This year is no exception. These guys played one of the best games I've seen of them all season long. It's absolutely incredibly what this Tampa team is capable of. Idc yeah Boston is great, but Tampa just flips that playoff switch, and they play harder, faster, and better than everybody else.

    I picked the Lightning to win in 5. 😂😂😂 Toronto will ALWAYS be Toronto. Plus the Lighting play incredible playoff hockey and Matthews is normally a no show.

    My dad met and Married my mom, in Toronto Dad was A die hard LEAFS fan..moving to Vancouver in 1970 No one rooted for expansion teams. Me and my brother were born in Vancouver..My brother was A leafs fan my dad made sure of that..If the leafs had won a game in our house growing up as a kid, that was the perfect time to ask dad for slurpee money…if the leafs lost..stay out of the living room…Heres to you DAD Love always!

    Idk man, it's only game 1, the Leafs still have a chance, but if they get bounced this year as well, this will be the end of the Matthews era. I genuinely think the group as a whole is just not ready for the playoffs, they are clearly in their own heads, they are facing immense pressure, and it's just not working. It's gotta be the most stressful thing ever to suit up for Leafs playoff game. I'm not 100% there, because the series is long from over. But I'm sniffing a rebuild if this goes south for Toronto.

    As a Canucks fan, I can’t wait for the maple leafs to be out of the first round. The Hockey hall of fame should build a building just dedicated to the leafs because they deserve it.

    I was at Game 1 last year – and they did not look this tentative at all.
    I would be worried if they played their best game and lost 7-3. But this is just one they need to put behind them and move on.

    Wes McCauley ref'd gm5 vs Columbus, gm6 and gm7 vs tampa last yr and last night… all leaf loses and Wes's brother in law is disgraced agent Dave Frost…… but no conflict of interest there.

    tampa opened up a can of whoop ass, this is a playoff team, regardless how they play in regular season, people forgot and just got reminded. And I'm not even a fan, but it's undeniable.
