Love the guy he honestly tried. Just worked a really hard few years for the flames. Anyone would have been gone too sadly
It was time. He threw out contract after contract. He’s locked a ton of guys into deals and it’s gotten us nowhere.
Glad we finally have a president of hockey ops again. Nice to have a face for the franchise going forward. I have a feeling Sutter will be gone next. GM will want to hire his own coach
Flames let a good one go, a real shame. If ownership had kept their meddling hands out of coaching hires, we'd have Tre, maybe still one of Johnny or Chucky and wouldn't have guys like Backs and Lindholm feeling iffy about sticking it out under a coach who doesn't understand how the NHL has changed
As a flames fan what is going on with the flames do you think the flames manger should have been gone after the his contact and what else do you think will happen with the flames and the coach and do you think we will have the same team next year and the same coach next year or no

8 years of hard work building your team to be first in their division , then your two star players jump ship. Feel bad for Tre. Players seemed to like and respect him , was a quality individual , a great ambassador for the team and the city. He made far more good moves than bad during his tenure , while having to deal with the pressure of a Canadian market and star players who don’t want to play in Canada. Tough for any GM in Canada to build a cup contender , but I feel like Brad was close to doing just that … up until last summer. And even then , he did the best he could considering the hand he was dealt.

The Flames didn't even have the good conscience to FIRE the guy!@!! … They simply let their crony appointment sneak out the side door, without a scratch, for all the damage he has done to the Flames organization! The ultra-creepy world of corporate cronyism at it's finest kids!! It will take a good decade, with a qualified and knowledgeable GM, to right all Brad Treliving's wrongs in Calgary!!
