Apparently Perry stayed on the ice after warmups the longest. Usually its marner and matthews for superstition. But Perry threw them off their game before it started. He was in their heads before the game even started lol. 🤡🤡

So since the it was called a goal by the official, the review has to find conclusively that it was not in. If the answer is that they cant tell either way, the call on the ice stands. Had it been called no goal on the ice, im sure on review it would have been called no goal, because its inconclusive. This is why you celebrate if you think you might have scored, you might just convince the officials you did, too.

Not that it mattered in the long run, but uh… that puck never went in. Or at least there was never absolute proof that it crossed the line. You can't just "think" it's in. That's not how the rule works.
In a situation like this, they should have the specific camera angle that proves it went over the line to play on the jumbo-tron when they make the call. If they can tell it went over the line, I'd like to see the proof. I'm not even a Leafs fan, I just find that call questionable. Not that it would have impacted who won this game.

The league needs to explain how a puck touching the post is crossed the line. The Leafs were never goign to win this game, they didn't really get screwed but what if that was game 7 in OT for the cup? Some how, some way there has to be some sort of goal line technology better than just a camera because thats a goal that should have never counted.

I'm an Oilers fan and it doesn't show that the puck totally crosses the line. Leafs still would have lost the game but the NHL has shown favor to Southern teams over Canadian teams many times in the passed. And it will continue

It actually didn't look like it was in. That should have been the call, if it did go in though, I wouldn't have called goalie interference, wasn't enough.
Due to the call on the ice they don't need to prove it was a goal, they need to prove it WASNT a goal.
You need to remember the camera isn't inside the post, it's behind the crossbar, so the puck could cross the line and from this angle appear to be touching it. This is why even if you can prove from this angle that the puck appears to always be touching the red line, thar STILL isn't conclusive not a goal.
As i have no party pris in this , ill call it a good goal . No obstruction , the goal of the game is to score , the job of the goalie is to stop it . Good goal .

I was at the game right over the net. I didn't see the puck in the net. I never had a proper video review of the play. Not sure what Camera the NHL war room is using, maybe they have one under the ice that we don't have the pleasure of viewing. But from this camera that was no goal. Puck never crossed the line, its pretty clear
