Hey bro, I’m a diehard Bruins fan and found your videos randomly. The first one I listened to you called that he was all done..and he was. I’m not a Pittsburgh fan of any kind but from afar the last 4-5 years they’ve been declining. I feel like Hextall was bullied into resigning your big 3..I thought it was dumb to bring back all 3. Not the same guys. Anyways, just wanted to say I’ve enjoyed listening to your thoughts on the Penguins and again I am not a fan. When FSG bought the team people here in Boston weren’t happy.. Red Sox fans are done with them..that franchise is a current disaster..it’s like they don’t want to spend the money to compete anymore..Henry is on his own planet..fans boo’d the hell outta him at the Winter Classic and it’s like he doesn’t even realize it..anyways, take care..Let’s Go Bruins!!

Not under this coach. Not with this same old leadership by seniority committee with some new tires added to help get it down the road smoother. If the new GM were to bring in a new coach, then maybe with that they could miraculously pull off a "revamp" of some kind to get them into "maybe" even "possibly" the 2nd round of a playoffs, even given the train wreck of a contract/cap situation they have with the slog of peripheral players on this team. But if we're really being honest with ourselves, we know no matter how things go from here on out, this team isn't winning another cup with this core, regardless of what they can build around it, or prop it up with. So what are we even doing here? Again to be honest, we're stubbornly hanging onto something that has passed and in that, fans are no different than Sullivan. There's going to be a rebuild at some point, all they're doing is delaying it for the benefit of misguided hope.
Wings fan in the burgh, I think the pens are in a similar situation that that wings were in around 2016. I think the only way out to to strike gold with free agents or in the draft. You overpay for free agents, trade gunetzel or Malkin for younger assets, or wait for a drafted star to develop, which can take 2-3 years ideally unless you hit gold. Tricky situation to be in.

This was an excellent program with some details and facts that I am sure you are tired of repeating over and over. Okay, I think we can all agree the top six are solid. So, this is a "re-tool" with the bottom six and half of the defense and the goaltending have to be switched up. I guess I am afraid that we are headed to the constant middle of the league. It seems like a Catch-22 to always be good enough to just make the playoffs but not good enough to even get out of a round. It seems like Sid and the rest of the core want to have a legitimate shot at the Cup and not just constantly being in the 14-18 range. Okay, here's my question: Assuming all that – what about goaltending? Where do we go? I love Jarry but isn't avaialable enough due to so many injuries that are starting to seem chronic. Stating the obvious – SOMETHING's gotta change!
Hey DK why can't we take the top 6 from baby pens and make them the bottom 6 for the pens just a why not and the top D also why not throw that in? Silly I know but. No scrubs get the ice time and toughen them up.
I agree with the theme of this post, just feel like the team doesn't have the resources to get it done. No cap, little trade bait, Free agents are either expensive or cast offs, oh and we still employ 77 😢
I get that we have always had owners here in Pittsburgh, so the underlying thing I got from J1Q was this situation that we're in with the absentee ownership is Mario's fault. He sold to them. He's using his well deserved retirement, but the predicament he put us in is hurting us. Was the money that good that he was' screw the Pens, I'm richer now' ?
I think it depends on the persons definition of a 'rebuild'. I;m for a partial rebuild. Just watch how the other great playoffs teams are playing…the Pens sure dont play like that.
