   Assuming we have 0-3mil left after resigning everybody, I think spending ~1mil on a backup/third stringer would be a safe bet, and could allow Søgaard one more year as Belleville’s starter. With whatever’s left, if there’s any left, getting a 3rd/4th liner would be key. I agree with the idea of trading Joseph, I just feel like the return wouldn’t be as valuable as what he might provide. This year was a down year, but if he’s able to play somewhere between what he did this year and last, then 3mil isn’t all that bad for what he’d provide.

   Why not go after Korpisalo? He's a Ufa, under 30 and very solid. Let him & Forsberg push each other. Soogard could use a full year plus in Belleville.
   LOTS of ufa goalies this summer- Raanta too…an older quality goalie.
   The Cat has to be traded- not a 9 mill player.

   According to capfriendly, your team roster in the video above is a cap hit of $85,441,547 and the cap limit for the season is $83,500,000 putting this roster $1,941,547 over the cap. And that is without the 13th and 14th forward that are normally scratched but still count towards the cap. Where are you getting the cap space?

   How many of their conversations are we going to have before we all finally admit that Alex can't stay. If he does we end up in cap hell like the Leafs

   How do people think about spreading our top 6 over our top 9

   Tkachuk – Stützle – Giroux – Debrincat – Norris – Batherson

   Any 2 of those guys

   paired with one of

   Pinto – Greig – Sokolov – Joseph

   I'd even put Gauthier into that mix.

   One of my fave combos would be

   Tkachuk – Stützle – Joseph
   Greig – Giroux – Debrincat
   Norris – Pinto – Batherson
   *** – Kastelic – *****

   I liked the first line right after Joseph got traded here, that's where he's had his most success with the sens.

   The second line played quite well together when they were paired up this year.

   The third is the most interesting and potentially the best of all 3 lines. I don't really care who plays what position tbh any could take Faceoffs I just put Norris on the wing because he shoots left. I think the line has a great amount of offensive upside paired with conscientious 200ft players in Pinto and Norris.

   My idea here is to more or less have 3 Legitimate NHL second lines and be able to spread out our scoring and talent throughout the lineup
