No surprises here. Pretty even game aside from execution on special teams. Igor played great, and most goals weren’t on VV but if we put one in at the end of the 1st period and he had a timely save or two we’re right in it.
I’m really curious to see how the lineups work in game 2. All year we’ve dominated when we stick to our game plan and wear teams down. Do we see that NY play was unsustainable game 1 and stick to the lineup, or end the Meier 3rd line experiment even though he played well there down the stretch? I’d like to see Shango come in for Wood but I could also see Ruff giving the team some confidence by playing the same lineup and encouraging them to just play the gameplan that won all year. LGD!

They over complicated their game and tried passing through traffic instead of getting the puck on net.
