    That’s playoff hockey, friends.

    See you nerds in Seattle!

  2. The_Bearded_Jedi

This was a tough game to watch. I’m glad this is best of 7 though

  3. notcaffeinefree

That 1st period was so good. But man, that 3rd one was just brutal. Couldn’t do anything with the puck.

  4. JesseKilgannon

Very disappointing, but at the end of the day, coming out of Colorado with a win in the first 2 games is a good thing

  5. CassFilms

We lost, but I’m a new born hockey fan tonight

    Fuck the Avs

  6. LC_From_TheHills

I think that is the first time kraken lost when being up 2-0 in the first period.

Hey playoff hockey is wild!! Lfg!!

  7. Olbaidon

#LOOKS LIKE .900 IS STILL ON THE MENU BOYS AND GIRLS!!!

#BACK TO THE EMERALD CITY WITH AN EVEN SERIES BABY!!

  8. One-Switch-1448

tough loss but we stole a game in colorado atleast, can’t wait to head back to seattle!! GO KRAKEN!!

  9. alienbanter

I’m gonna die at CPA on Saturday lol

  10. Hanigers-Dong

They’re giving the Avs all that they can handle, so that is encouraging.

The lack of finishing and the inability to do basically anything on the power play and up an extra skater is going to kill us just like people predicted.

  11. juanthebaker

Lost our legs a bit. Let’s bring this shit back to sea level!

  12. ALL THEY DID WAS TIE THE SERIES, YOU’RE IN OUR HOUSE SATURDAY

  13. getthejpeg

You know what, we are tied and coming home. It is still FUCKING PLAYOFF HOCKEY.

    #LETS GO KRAKEN

  14. infidelappel

Bummer to lose this one especially after going up 2-0, and I don’t love an Avalanche team with momentum.

But if you told me going in we’d leave Denver with a split I would’ve been dancing, so I’ll take it. Still played ‘em close tonight.

  15. Havoc_XXI

The refs certainly got involved the 2nd / 3rd…smh on the lack of calls against Av’s.

  16. SongOfBlueIceAndWire

Overall I’m content with coming back home having picked up a win in Denver. But we gotta be better at maintaining that same energy and fire when things start shifting the other way….Once the Avs started rolling in the 2nd, it was all down hill from there.

  17. B9RV2WUN

The turning point in this game is Eberle missing a chance to make it 3-0. Two minutes later it’s 2-2.

  18. cdsixed

not the result we wanted but we absolutly have proven we can hang with the champs

lets sweep the home games!!! ill be there saturday and im ready to bring the noise!!

  19. TreeBeard___

Hard fought loss but we were sloppy. The Avs definitely showed us they are not going down without a fight and hopefully this only motivates our team! We’re bringing the energy back in game three!

  20. keoniog

Not scoring on that 3 on 1 really hurts rn

  21. spear2go

On the plus side, it’s great to get one win away from home against a good team. This series will really test our staff to see if they can make adjustments

  22. Destroydacre

Can’t play for one period and expect it to be good enough in the playoffs. Seattle has proven they can play toe to toe with these guys. Gotta keep up the effort for the full 60, not just 20.

  23. SiccSemperTyrannis

Kraken played well again and could have won this game. 1-1 split heading back home is what every underdog team wants. Saturday is going to be INSANE at the CPA!

Hopefully the kraken don’t play worse at home as they have done for most of this season.

  24. FrequentHiker

Tough L, but it is late April and I’m dying inside watching a Seattle team in playoff games. How cool is this?!?

  25. Go_Hawks12

Ran out of gas in that one, but we gotta be thrilled to go home tied 1-1

  26. thecaffeinequeen77

It was a tough but good game. BUT what pissed me off the ABSOLUTE MOST was the absolutely biased ESPN reporting. They were all there just absolutely suckin the avs off, talking about what they could be doing better, how they ALMOST got such and such and barely even said a single word about the Kraken. And it happened the same way earlier this week, like wtaf. Seriously my ass is debating finding ways around the blackout and VPN blocks to get the Sportsnet coverage.

  27. DaRealJZ

Our power play is atrocious. Genuinely never seen one so bad.

Glad we got one win, but this loss was so deflating. Felt like the 18 inning loss to the Astros last year

  28. LauzonIsHotGarbage

Would have loved to come home with two wins, but it’s gonna be a blast Saturday and Monday. Can’t wait!

  29. coyoteinapond

    It’s a 7 game series. I believe!!!

  30. That shift change debacle and that Eberle botched shot. We beat ourselves today.

They capitalized on our mistakes and we moved too far away from skating to our strengths. Hopefully a good reminder game for the guys and they clean things up for the home crowd. It really wouldn’t have taken much to flip the outcome of this game. We’ll retake the lead on Saturday for sure.

  31. CascadianSovietGo

Whatever else is true, the boys are proving they belong in these playoffs. Anyone who doubted them can’t watch games like these last two and pretend they can’t hang.

  32. jaffers1228

They literally looked tired in the 3rd. We just couldn’t skate with them anymore. Let’s get back home and regroup

  33. nuclearhaystack

Think a lot of people are forgetting this thing can go to seven games and they’re coming to Seattle. You may have cockswoggled this one, Avs, but this is going to be a hard fight and we’re not traditional expansion team pushovers. Come earn your second round.

  34. VolcomStonah

Play-off Hockey hurts so good right now.. trying to watch this while at work was harrowing.

    Sea You in Seattle SQUIDS

  35. damnitjayman

Allowing 3 unanswered was bad. But it wasn’t a blowout. Scored quick and early. This team can take it to 7. I know we haven’t been great at home but the 1st ever home playoff game will have a special energy!

  36. BoricuaBeef

Say what you want about the game, we’re still going back to Seattle 1-1. I’m just happy we have had such great non-biased broadcasting throughout these two games, really have made the games a joy to watch.

Honestly an even series is great. A lot of good teams often lose both road games, and it was a close game, we went hard, I’m happy with where we are. Gru is still crushing it to a huge degree. Chin up squid squad, this was far from a failure!

  38. imthepits

Still no sighting of Colorado’s depth..they ran their stars into the ground tonight.

Hopefully we tire them out and their lack of depth exposes and sinks them.

  39. Olbaidon

Both times the most physical team won based on stats.

More hits and more shots is the key to this series.

  40. TheColin09

The negative: No points from our top four point scorers in the regular season in both games.

The positive: We’re tied after 2 games when we’ve gotten no points from our top four point scorers in the regular season

  41. MT_Original

Avs fan coming in peace. You guys are putting up a hell of a battle, and I love your team. I hate we have to play each other in the first round. Hell of a playoff game tonight, and I can see you coming back with vengeance in your home barn next game. It’s going to be a tough series for both teams
