Cant read much of this due to the paywall, so this may have been addressed, but I’m curious how no Kane or Toews will impact the attendance moving forward. If we manage to snag Bedard, I think the numbers will stay up, but if not…

If we don’t get bedard the place will be a desert. Yuppies only come back when its fun for them

Giving away a lot of tix to icehogs STH helped.

Glad to see the UC was still fairly full this year. Hope it stays that way next season. We didn’t win much but the teams was much more competitive than I imagined. Win or lose they always showed up and put on a good show. Thanks Richardson.

I think a lot of folks underestimate the traveling fans. We live in East Texas, but have been Blackhawks fans forever (grew up in Houston and Rich Preston was the Aeros’ best player so we adopted the Hawks when he went there in the 70s). A LOT of people I know make at least one and mostly two trips to the UC a year.

We went in the dark times in the 00s, all bought Havlat, Bolland, or Ladd sweaters (still one of my all-time favorite lines), and never miss a game when we’re in Dallas.

I’ve got to assume there are people like that all over the country, and a little losing isn’t going to keep us from making the pilgrimage to The Madhouse…

For a lot of us who don’t live there, it’s an event… even more so now that we don’t have Pat and Edzo.
