Trading Hamilton is carolinas worst mistake
Gutsy win by the Devils. They really need to find a way to score at even strength though. The Rangers are playing structured defense and are very disciplined at it. Also maybe that goal gets Jack Hughes going. I know he scored on a penalty shot in game 1 but the Rangers are doing a really good job shutting him down at even strength and so much of New Jersey's offense runs through Hughes. Not to say they don't have other good players too but if Hughes gets going it's going to make everyone else on the ice for New Jersey more dangerous.
NHL has become a joke to watch……. distracting digital ice and board ads…. and player names above the players head like a videogame?

Devils players trying to show up NY fans and getting a little cocky with the celebrating. If MSG gets rockin and they drop game 4 they might as well call it quits early. Even with home ice they aren't gonna win 3 in a row against that Rangers team because they got exposed early big time.
I think "disappointing" sums it up.
Ranger fans and Devil fans need not debate, the prize at the trade deadline was hands down Ryan O'Reilly. It isn't even open for discussion. Kane and Tarasenko are WAY past their prime, and I have no idea how a guy like Timo, who has never won anything, is the best the trade deadline had to offer.
