Final score nothwithstanding, I’m so proud of the energy that was brought to the first home playoff game.

  2. LC_From_TheHills

Playoffs are about defense and goaltending.

    Exhibit A lol

  3. AkuraTorment

Wish we did that last Power Play like we did the other chances we had. Hope we rebound from this . Onto the next game boys

  4. Final_Character_8907

I’m just so grateful they didn’t get wiped like Dallas did last night. LET’S GO BOYS!!!

  5. Motherofdin

At least I got to witness Matty’s first postseason goal.

  6. zombie32killah

We should try passing and defending for the next game.

  7. SiccSemperTyrannis

Kraken played well but the stars of the Avs were just a bit too good for them tonight. On to game 4.

  8. rangerBeezer

We got this. Saw some good tonight. Just gotta keep up the intensity and we can take game 4 to even the series.

  9. Gru trapping the Av in his net was the funniest thing I’ve seen all week!

Let’s come back Monday and at least make them fight for round 2.

  10. surfingeagles

Gotta say, the crowd was in this game from start to finish. A lot of respect to those fans!!

  11. _MMCXII

Some people in this sub are hilariously toxic and way oversensitive lol. Even the slightest criticism and they screech like petulant children. It’s okay if the team doesn’t win. It’s okay to discuss why that happens.

  12. Pneuma93

They are playing so aggressively and we are not matching that at all. If we don’t start back checking and hounding them as hard as they are to us, not even Gru will keep us in it.

  13. They lost tonight so I can watch the first playoff victory at Climate Pledge on Monday 🫣

  14. Delgra

    #WE’LL GET EM NEXT TIME

Loved seeing Schwartz and Matty find the back of the net tonight.

Defense needs to figure out a lot right now, we need to get deeper into their zone and stop turning pucks over near the neutral zone. The entire team needs to learn how to finish their hits and take the body more often. We don’t push or shove nearly enough to call this playoff hockey.

  15. Tashre

Their top players were their top players while ours were just beginning to break the ice finally 3 games into the series. I’m glad Matty got a goal today, but we’ve been needing a lot more out of that line.

This series will be over in 5 if we can’t figure out a way to enter the zone with a plan on a consistent basis.

  16. vermilionsx

Proud of the fans proud of the CPA staff. Next game we need to be more physical. Maybe MacKinnon will think twice about dancing like clown if he is sore from some good checks. And the biggest problem is our PP hurts more than it helps by giving the Avs momentum cause it’s so bad. Everytime we had a PP it literally help Colorado.

  17. Go_Hawks12

Even with the garbage time PP goal, the tale has been face offs, special teams, and skill

  18. TripleBicepsBumber

On to game 4, that’s all we can do

  19. FragileExpressPorter

Always proud of the boys for putting up a good fight. Big Rig, Gru, Turbo, Matty Slaps – all the boys. Proud AF

  20. MarineLayerBad

Gotta bounce back Monday. 1-2 is ok, happens to everyone. Can’t drop to 1-3.

  21. blueplatespecial9

I didn’t have the heart to turn the game off and saw the last goal. I hope our guys rest up and come back strong Monday! Still hopeful but proud of our team to be in the playoffs! 🦑🦑🦑

  22. SawdustIsMyCocaine

I’m just happy I managed to turn you guys against MacKinnon in the GDT

  23. tasteywheat

    Mariners final score: 😁
    Kraken final score: ☹️

  24. bizarrostormy90

Shame our defense insists on turning the puck over while transitioning out of our defensive zone. That empty netter felt like a microcosm of what transpired tonight.

  25. you_are_unhinged

I’m not so super worried about this L tonight because I’ve been saying they’re going to take seven games to win this.

  26. im_joe

2nd period was awesome. Great aggression and intensity.

Let’s see that on Monday for the entire game.

  27. B9RV2WUN

After we gave up the shorty the Avs took over and the game was not that close after that even when we made it 3-3. The Avs just turned it on in the 3rd and made it look easy.

Too tentative too slow and poor execution. The Kraken can do better and it needs to start Monday if they want any chance.

  28. Few_Neighborhood_828

We need to play more physical and Mccan needs to actually show up.

  29. IronSlayTallica

The loss is disappointing but I’m just so fuckin happy to see playoff hockey in Seattle. So fuckin cool to see CPA rocking like it was tonight. Watching from WI and def living vicariously through those in attendance.

Feels like we found the winning formula in Game 1. Hope we can recapture that and even things up Mon night 🦑🦑🦑

  30. cakeFactory2

We believe in us. Is ain’t over til it’s over baby

  31. SuspiciousUsername88

I honestly do think we still have a shot at round 2, but all I was realistically hoping for was that we made the playoffs and didn’t get swept in round one. This doesn’t make me feel any better, but still

  32. damnitjayman

I was at the game and I had a blast! Yeah we lost but it was exciting for 2 periods and at least two more games

  33. Few_Neighborhood_828

    McCann needs to play better.

  34. soldiers4give

Never fun to lose, but this was game was a reminder of why many considers Avs to be favorite for the cup. The speed of them is unreal. Very proud of the Kraken giving a good fight. Hope I can witness the first post-season victory at home on Monday!

The powerplay is a bit ridiculous, though, and Avs are using our inability to utilize it to their advantage by taking calculated penalties. I really wish Burky was here to help cross the blue line for starters. We’d still need someone to win some offensive zone draws too, hope we can fix it next year.

  35. seataccrunch

That 0 for 5 on the PP and one shorty was back breaking. Need adjustments in the worst way for the PP and we have to find a way with their top line

    Let’s even the series Monday!!

  36. you_are_unhinged

Really proud of Schwartzy and all the boys generally for that goal in the last minute of the game. It demonstrates that they never give up, and that’s the kind of team I want to root for.

    And great game Schwartzy!!!

  37. gsmith97

What makes Colorado so deadly is that MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar are so damn good at punishing mistakes while also forcing those mistakes (which is why they are some of the best playing right now). This team needs to play close to perfect to get a win against this Avs team—we saw them do it in game 1, so it’s not impossible. But damn, it’s tough.

  38. fongquardt

They just look like they have no answer for a superstar. And man they suck eggs on the powerplay. The crowd was itching to scream but they just could not do it at the end. Painful loss

  39. skotywa

Is it worth considering starting Jones in the next game? I’m not trying to blame this loss on Gru, but it wasn’t his best game. And neither was the last one.
