  1. Yes Dubas should have been AGM longer – Colorado was prepared to offer him GM months before his promotion here and Shanny wouldn’t gave the Avs permission to talk to him – that sealed it as if he didn’t promote Dubas he would have went elsewhere and Shanny didn’t want to lose his ‘Wonderkid’

  2. Yes, yes, yes absolutely yes.

I think no matter what happens with Toronto in the postseason you will see Dubas going to Pittsburgh no doubt.

I think overall he’s just tired of Toronto in general, no matter what he does he is always the Judas for this team. They could win three rounds and make the finals only to be pumped and dumped and the very next conversation next offseason would be what if Nylander and Auston don’t stay and how that is his fault.

It’s a lose/lose/lose situation for him. Either get blamed if they lose, get blamed if their stars leave, or get blamed for leaving a team he helped create, but think about what kind of luxury taking over the Pens will have for him…

Imagine sitting there and having Crosby, Malkin, and Letang coming back with Rust and Guentzel as well, finally Dubas gets to play to his strengths as a GM, he’s not paying 11 million to two different players. Suddenly he could acquire Barabanov again and instantly add more speed to that group. He could resign Zucker if he wants, he could keep Dumolin if he wants, but he has POJ (thanks Arizona) already there in the wings and enough cap space to potentially force a team to give up another young asset he could use to build his roster up.

It’s the Bjorkstrand argument all over again from last season when they talked about Carrier being traded for him going to Nashville, then we found out the whole ass cost of Bjorkstrand and everyone was like “😮😮😮”

  3. Being a pens fan 1st, leafs 2nd, I'd welcome dubas, penguins fans/media ain't as bad as Toronto, and he just need to finds a way to compliment the old 3 in steel city!

  4. Dubas could go wherever he wants. He has proven his competency.
