Star fans here – How the fuck is Gustavsson starting even up for debate let alone not set in stone for the Wild coaching staff at this point? I love Fleury just as much as the next person but if you’re even thinking about starting him over Gustavsson for game 5 then your entire coaching staff should be fired.
I’d love to hear from the pro-Fleury Wild fans about what they think because it is honestly baffling to me that this is even being talked about.
Gus has allowed 6 goals in 210 minutes. Fleury has allowed 7 in 60. If Dean starts Fleury it should be no mystery why he’s never won a playoff series.
We rotated goalies all year long so both were fresh for a playoff run. Now that we’re at that point, you ride the hot hand (Gus) until the end.
Doing mental gymnastics trying to figure out if this is to rest Gus for game 5 or to warm up one of the other goalies.
