🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
The loaf’s gone stale. His best before date seems to be the day before playoffs every year.
This team is stacked, wtf did I just watch…
Get ‘em on thurs, LGR
If we lose this series we should explore trading Mika, he’s not a 1C on a Stanley cup team
I can’t even enjoy the other games because of how dogshit this team just performed. Stunning that this « veteran playoff team » put themselves in a position like this. Series it not over, but this team is clearly not the juggernaut we thought it was through 2.
Well I guess we’ll see if this team has any balls on Thursday. This looked one of those games they played before Trouba threw his helmet.
It’s shocking how terrible our top guys look. Never seen Panarin and Zibanejad look like such non factors out there.
Definitely the worst Rangers game I’ve ever been to. Garden was so flat tonight; need fewer suits in seats
This was the first time in years that I was miserable being at MSG. Horrible effort all around. Team was lifeless
If the rangers play the next 2 games like they did the first 2 games we win the series.
Is the ice really shitty at MSG right now? I feel like puck keeps popping over sticks and players falling all over the ice for both Devils and Rangers. Weird to see. Either lack of focus, trying to move to quickly to avoid the hit and/or ice is shit.
Wtf was that? Looked like a Saturday afternoon game in November….after the entire team sprained both wrists….in a pie eating contest. For the love of God respond I haven’t been super impressed with NJ but you can’t win with 5 credible scoring chances
This team needs a good ass reaming. They thought after the first two wins they could just show up and win without fighting for it. Devils were never going to go away quietly.
What bodes well for us is everyone and I mean everyone is half assing it out there and we were still in both games.
Someone has to throw a helmet. Someone has to punch someone in the face. Seeing those locker room postgame interviews was like watching a funeral procesion. It was written all over their faces. They have no idea what they need to do to win. The team is lost and someone needs to step the fuck up and ring the bell. Right off the drop of the puck we need someone to drop Hughes and fuck up schmid. It is time to get down right dirty and nasty. Prove you want to win a cup.
Otherwise we are done in six. And the team will see major changes.
Not sure exactly why they changed the strategy but the biggest difference to me is the physicality. The first two games we had over 35 hits per game. In the last two games we’ve only had 23 and 24.
Men in Black need to roll into that locker room with their little blinkie pen and make the rangers forget about these last two home games. They really slept their way through the latter of these 2-2. Time to prove they are who we think they are.
The team really disappeared today, they were one shot away from making it 3-0 and looked like the better team up until that, but today they look like they could care less, the most frustrating part is how easy they are making it for Schmid. Why can’t this team play well against these rookie/ back up/ 3rd stringers?!?! Why don’t they have that killer instinct make life hard for these young inexperienced goalies. Idk maybe switch up the power play completely as well, but something needs to happen god damn
I had to apologize to my newborn son for accusing him of being bad luck
At very least I’m glad GG is calling out the top 6 specifically as the reason we lost this game. This better light a fire under their asses or we won’t hear the end about how lost 4 straight to the devils for years to come.
It’s going to be Vegas vs Toronto, with flower getting revenge, isn’t it?
This team absolutely refuses to make things easy on themselves. I think the last series they won in less than six games was 2015 vs. Pittsburgh (and even that had some OT games in it).
Rangers are not winning this series in six. They’ll either go the full seven (with multiple OTs), or New Jersey bowls them over and wins in six at MSG.
Zero effort and energy this evening. Hopefully we wake up before next game.
Next 2 games are put up or shut up for Panarin , Mika , Kane , hell to a degree even Tarasenko
Need goals from them or it’s over
FUCKIN HIT SOMEBODAAAAAY
Seeing the scrums. And comebacks. And heart on display in every other game and see what we did tonight just is so dispiriting
I really thought the flat efforts were behind us after those first 2 games, that we were « just saving it for the playoffs ». But now I’m pretty damn nervous that this team can’t adjust when the other team clearly just did.
I’m glad it’s still a best of three, and I’m glad I still have hope that these guys can pull it off, but do they believe it? I really hope so, because losing this series after having a 2-0 lead with possibly the best roster of our lifetimes to an inexperienced Devils team who have 7 goals In 4 games (and would have 4 w/out Hughes) would be a catastrophic **L.**
The Devils threw the clocks back to the 90’s 00’s teams. Neutral Zone « PARK THE FUCKING BUS » trap style. I said the Rangers needed to push the Devils to the boards to slow down their speed, well guess who did that tonight? the Devils. Rangers couldn’t’ get an o zone forecheck going, no 50/50 puck battles, losing battles in their(Rangers) own zone. Looked lost all over the ice. The only two players that showed up tonight was Igor and Trocheck(he got to the dirty areas which led to the goal). Hischier got to the dirty area after the Siegenthaler goal. WHERE WERE THE DMEN? IN SARATOGA SPRINGS?! Where was the dman on the Siegenthaler goal? Sucked the life out of the building.
This is now my fear w/ playing the Devils. Obvious their speed will kill this team. BUT, their speed + Neutral Zone Trap= Disaster for the Rangers. Schmid, who’s basically could have eaten a Daily Burger from MSG(are they still being sold at the Garden?) in tonight’s is looking like what I’ve been fearing. He could be turning into Seymon Varalmov in the 08/09 series (I think he {Varlamov} took over for Theodore) and take over a series. Anyone old enough to remember that series? Ever since then, whenever he(Varlamov) plays the Rangers, he typically plays lights out. I’m not saying Schmid is gonna become a Varlamov of 08/09. But COME ON! Get some pucks on net. NOT EMPTY CALORIE SHOTS! Make him go East/West. Get him moving. Be a physical presence in front of goal. Looking at you Kreids, Looking at you Trocheck. Vally and Hank said it. Vally also said this; outside of Hughes, the Devils really haven’t been playing that great also. But I’ve said during the regular season, ugly wins are important come playoff time. That was an ugly win.
Power Play: lifeless. I DEMAND, Mika needs to move to his spot. Not the bumper. If that somehow gets him going offensively. Put Chytil or Trocheck there for goodness sake!
This team went from being TOO CUTE, to shit real damn quick. Top 6 looked like pure shit. Kid line in a way, looked okay. Whenever they started to cycle, they’d lose the puck and goes out of the neutral zone. Probably the only line that showed up. You know I’m glad Turk is mad at the top 6. Players need to be held accountable, (you could say Turk needs to be held too). Laugh at Ruff making changes. But guess what, they somehow worked. This game better be the WAKE THE FUCK UP CALL TO THIS TEAM. This was a Dementors game. A dementors game is when the opponent Sucks the soul out of a team and plays boring hockey and finds way to win. I’ve been calling the Islanders the Dementors of the League (during the Trotz era). Rangers need to adjust to that. And play like that when they have the chance. The penisy/overconfidence ends immediately. **NOT TOMORROW, NOT WEDNESDAY, NOT THURSDAY, NOT AFTER BREAKFAST, IT END’S NOW!!!!!**
Rant over: Day 7 of the journey turned out to be trench warfare. Stuck in the mud. Now adversity has officially settled in. Game 3 whatever. Tonight, was unacceptable. Now it’s best 2 out of 3. A MUST WIN GAME. Move on from this shit show. Gotta gets back to playing physical. Get the first goal of the game. Off tomorrow and Wednesday. Let’s hope they make adjustments. Onto Game 5. I still have faith.
The rangers passing was AWFUL tonight. I swear some players didn’t even look up in the neutral zone before just throwing the puck across the ice hoping it would magically land on their teammate’s stick. These bad cross-ice passes have plagued the Rangers all-season long and I just wonder why they haven’t been able to fix it. Maybe they’d rather make the effortless pretty pass than dump and chase and work the boards? No idea.
Does Artemi Panarin want to show up? He caught a break last year with the ot goal in game 7 vs pitt. Outside if that he’s been awful in the playoffs. 11.5 million for what???
