  1. Tampa Bay played an amazing game I thought. They controlled periods 2, 3, and the OT. It's how it goes sometimes and why we love hockey.

  2. Tampa Bay fans are crying about the refs but forget their players had 3 non called trips in the ending minutes of the 3rd period.

  3. As a Leaf fan I have to say I am surprised how well Tampa played, they out played the Leafs. Toronto needs to find a way to deal with the Tampa forecheck better

  4. Refs decided this game. Between non calls, to non goal the Bolts got the shaft from the refs tonight. Should have been a boarding call on orielly against point, Then the point goal in the 3rd was a good goal. So disappointing that a really good game was affected so much by poor officiating.

  5. Funny how many Lightning fans thought this would be over in 4 or 5 games after game 1…. this is probably going 7 games.

  6. Well, when you back up (Sergachev) and let them do whatever they want, plus leaving a man wide open in front with a minute left in the game that's what you get. Play hard and pressure them for 1 more minute and you win in regulation. Didn't hurt that Vasy stunk on 2 or 3. Better start blocking every shot you can. Like you should be doing anyway.

  7. I’m a Leafs fan, but I love the Lightning as well. Definitely my #2 team. Which is odd because these two teams absolutely HATE each other 😂 but Vasy’s my favorite goalie in the league and I love most of the other players too, so I’m torn. I’m super glad that Point’s okay after that awkward hit into the boards. Good luck to y’all. This has been a very entertaining series so far! (Leafs nation, please don’t disown me…😅)

  8. Clowns in Toronto celebrating like they won the cup already 😂😂🤣🤣🙄🙄🙄…

  9. The lightnings played much better than the leafs overall. Samsonov and O'Rielly stole the game and Rielly ended it. It happens and happens a lot in the game of hockey. Leafs were victims of many games but they took an advantage tonight. Lightning will come much stronger and if the leafs come unprepared like tonight, they will very likely lose. This series is not over until it's over.

  10. At least I don't have to listen to Leaf fans crying like little children for the next few days.

  11. Leafs didnt deserve to win tonight. Samsonov was the difference. Sometimes you need to win ugly in the playoffs!

  12. Leafs withstand the refs effort of handing Tampa the game on a silver platter!

  13. Samsonov stole this game for the Leafs… something no goalie has done for them in the playoffs since the Joseph – Belfour era.

  14. this is funny if it was the other way around meaning if Tampa got out played and than scored the winning goal they would of said " good teams find a way to win " right, these are two good teams going at it , just enjoy this great series

  15. Torontos best player was their goalie. No question. He kept them in this through the 2nd and 3rd when they weren’t skating and looking sloppy. Tampa outplayed Toronto and looked better but this is what they mean when people say it’s the playoffs anything can happen.

  16. Well Im happy the Leafs won, but Tampa Bay plays Good Ol e Canadian style of hockey. The series could go 7 games,All comes down to has the hot Goalie

  17. The one that should be ejected for the Brayden point hit scores the game winner…. Lightning vs refs

  18. leafs werent skating,,,,,,very fortunate win,,,,,they better realize how they have to play to win,,,,Tampa knows how to win

  19. Shouldn't have even been on the ice after the dangerous hit on Point .Only way Leafs get through this series is through cheap shots and disrespect of a far superior team of men.

  20. As it stands now based on 176 previous series taking in to account which team won and in which order and where (home team versus away):

    Leafs in 5 = 26.7%

    Leafs in 6 = 21.6%

    Leafs in 7 = 22.2 %

    Bolts in 6 = 13.6%

    Bolts in 7 = 15.9%

Here Overall Leafs have a 70.5% chance of winning the series

If Leafs win Game 4 as well – the numbers look like this:

    Leafs in 5 = 61.1%

    Leafs in 6 = 27.8%

    Leafs in 7 = 5.6%

    Bolts in 7 = 5.6%

Here Overall Leafs have a 94.5% chance of winning the series

If the Bolts win Game 4 – the numbers look like this:

    Leafs in 6 = 32.7%

    Leafs in 7 = 25.0%

    Bolts in 6 = 23.2%

    Bolts in 7 = 19.0%

Here Overall Leafs have a 57.7% chance of winning the series

You might ask why if the series it tied 2-2 would the Leafs still have an advantage. It is because this is real world data based on previous series and not statistics. After this next game, 2 out of the remaining 3 games are at SBA in Toronto.

So over all the most likely result right now (after game 3) is Leafs in 5. That stays the same if they win game 4. If they lose game 4, the most likely result is Leafs in 6.
