There are no dominant goalies anymore like there use to be just system goalies who's stats are more of an indication of the team in front of them than the goalie themself. For example this year it's Linus Ullmark, he is putting up stats that Hasek did when Hasek was the first goalie in a long time to post a GAA under 2.0. Does anyone really think Ullmark is even remotely close to as good as Hasek, no(well maybe if you live in New England area you might). Another example of the new system goalie is look at how many different goalies there are in the top 5 in save % and gaa every year. It's almost different every year and that difference is more about the team in front of them. Back in the day take the 90s for example, you knew who the great goalies where(Roy, Belfour, Hasek) and then the next tier(Joseph, Potvin, Richter, to name a few) down and so on.
