They went out and got two premier players instead of two hard nosed puck handlers. And now theyre paying the price. The Kane signing was the worst, he has no business on this team as they have plenty of undersized shooters. They need grit and got finesse. And in doing so they gave up second third and forth round picks for rentals.

They blew this series, they losing 4 in a row, mark my words down right here. Fire Gallant after this collapse and this roster needs change, start by getting rid of Panarin, I wouldn't be opposed to moving Zibanajed and others to restructure this roster and get the necessary players needed to win a cup, this current squad has no toughness, plays soft, dont fight, dont go in front of the net, dont get dirty goals, no grit, I can go on and on.

Folks, (Fan since 79) this Ranger team is not cup material. I said this in chats and to my brother when they got Kane…. Good on paper? so what, paper teams don't win cups. The Rangers on paper look great but paper does not show things like Heart, Soul and Grit.
As far as I am concerned, Panarin will never be a playoff guy and who cares if he even had a 150 point season, if you cant produce in the playoffs, its meaningless.
Look at the 94 team, remember the series with the Devils? Even the games we lost it was a battle of grit and will and still the greatest playoff series I have ever seen.
Even if the Rangers pull this series off they wont go all the way unless they decide to use effort every game…..

Love the Rangers, but they are not going to have luck if Zibanejad, Kane, Panarin have games like this. Zibanejad, especially, is a complete disappointment.
Rangers looked soft and less aggressive the last 2 games. No real offensive pressure in the Devils zone. Also the Rangers are giving Hughes too much space on the ice – he is 170 lbs – they need to bump him and be more physical. They need a big aggressive effort tomorrow night to take back control of this series! The Rangers are too talented and experienced to play as soft as they did these last 2 games at home!
When will this organization ever learn?? They go out and get individual players that have good stats.. but as a team, they don't have one.. its a group of individuals either auditioning for a free agent contract or simply looking for their own stats.. its not a team
I think all the issues you are noting such as bad passing, over skating the puck, and mishandling are symptoms of the devils high pressure system. I believe our Rangers are feeling rushed and believe they have less time than they actually have. I’m a huge Ranger fan myself and this is my first time seeing one of your videos. I must say you made a lot of great points and i enjoy your breakdown. It seems we think similarly and i look forward to watching more of your videos. Hopefully you will make many more this season before the season ends😉.
When a team loses I typically look to explanations other than "They're not trying." And there were other factors at play last night – the Devils have made personnel and tactical adjustments and are playing much better than in games 1 & 2 – but the effort was lacking big time last night. GG said so. Even the guys on the MSG post-game said so, and they are loathe to directly criticize the players, so when they do it, it means something.
The question then becomes "Why was the effort so lacking?"
I'm so over the lack of effort from this franchise EVERY SINGLE TIME it matters. Year after year after year. 30 years of this shit I've watched and only one cup to show for it and it doesn't matter who they bring in or ship out they play the same. We're cursed. They can't even catch a lucky break 😂 you were nowhere near harsh enough, at all. 2-2 series doesn't shock me. It's the way they stopped showing up entirely AT HOME. AT MSG, IN FRONT OF US.

Game 3 they went back to looking to pass, not to shoot, game 4 they didnt have any high end shots at all. I can stop those. They make this goalie look like the best of all time instead of testing him. Now he is comfortable and a problem going forward.

Their lack of PP goals is what is really hurting them but yes, they really didn't show up last night. NJ just had more energy and simply appeared to want it more. Their worst game by far of the series.

stop comparing the first 2 games (where the devils were not awake, and were not playing how they do) to how rangers are playing now. the devils have dominated the rangers this whole season (other than the 2 games they were vacant). the record of the devils vs rangers is 3-1 this season and the loss was a shoot out loss. the rangers just are not the better team. the devils are quicker to the puck. faster with the puck, and better with the puck. if the rangers didnt have igor shesterkin they you can count on it that they wouldnt make the playoffs as easyily as they did and they'd most likely be facing the bruins or carolina. i hate seeing "the rangers are not playing how they did the first 2 games of the series" its because the devils were not playing like a playoff caliber team, they were not playing how they have the regular season. even in the DOMINTATING 2 games. count out 1 goal each game cause of the empty netter so its now 4-1 and 2-3 goals each game were power play. count all that out and its tied or a 1 goal game. now rangers cant score on the pp cause of the devils pk and schemes. the 5-1 games were far from a domination as ranger fans say. the devils are just the better team

Our goaltending shouldnt matter when 1, facing a ROOKIE goaltender and 2, supposedly having the best top 6 in the entire NHL. However, we still have the best goaltender in the entire league and the most mediocre top 6 performance in the NHL.
