What does that mean? Does that mean he is backing out or not playing or does that mean if he gets injured he just loses out on any salary he would have made in the mean time?

It’s a shame because these guys need to play elimination games to hit a new level imho. I want Petey Hughes etc to get playoff experience more than anything at this point.
It would’ve been great to see Petey represent his country again, but if he gets hurt then it ruins any hope of next season being a good one for the canucks.
