Game 7, we meet again..
I’m so fucking nervous, I feel like I’m going to puke. One win away from Carolina and with the Bruins bowing out, anybody could end up winning the ECF.
Y’all I’m already nauseous. Excited. But nauseous.
On one hand the Bruins blowing a 3-1 series lead should make me feel better if the Rangers in fact choke away their own 2-0 series lead. If the Bruins do it, then any team is liable to do it.
On the other hand, the East is wide open now and this is easily the Rangers best shot at the cup since 2013-14, and I do easily rate them above Carolina, Toronto and Florida, so this really is the year if they can just pull it off tonight.
I feel good. The team made an adjustment two nights ago and I think they can get it done. We have Igor and they don’t. LFGR
Hopefully we scared the Schmid out of their goalie last game so today we can watch it all collapse.

We looked so composed to start game 6. We skated as a team and with confidence, like it was a tug of war and we might lose ground but we would never let go of the rope. And then we gave up the first goal anyway. And then we bounced back. This team has been there done that. We got this.
Edit to clarify: Remember the headspace to start that game. Playing competently after the previous game’s effort was a relief. We actually got some zone pressure, not sustained but we had some possession. We also didn’t give up a goal in the first minute which hadn’t happened in a while. So it’s all relative I guess. Relative to how we later played it didn’t look like anything special, but relative to what came prior it was good to see. In my opinion at least.

Devils are worried about their goalie situation. Vitek first on ice, then schmid taking the starting goalie position during practice.

If there was ever a season that the rangers have a chance to win the Cup, this is it. Tampa Bay, eliminated; Boston, eliminated; Colorado, eliminated.
If we don’t get it done past NJ tonight, this is the season that could have been, more so than 2014 when we just ran into an insanely hot Kings team.
Everyone needs to play well, and there are lots of guys who can be the hero. The guy named showtime needs to find the scoresheet. Zibby got the monkey off his back and needs to get a streak going. Fox needs to do his thing. Kreider needs to do his thing. And by god hopefully Panarin can get something going.

Gut check time. This is the game where we learn something about the character of this team. The Rangers are the better team. They are the deeper team. The Rangers should be out there with extreme confidence and bully the Devils. Meier took liberties with Shesterkin’s knee in this series. Trouba should set the tone and run over Hughes early in this game. Rangers need to play like the alpha dogs they are and not allow these little Devils pups to try and steal what belongs to them. LETS GO RANGERS!
