1. I’d honestly feel Reynolds would be. The better buyer I’m my rest but bring on snoop doggy dog bang💪 this team is so bright

  2. Yo Ross! Thank you for your take re the city needing better representation. Couldn't have said it better.

  3. Ross what you said is exactly what majority of sens fans and people of Ottawa want. Someone who wants to buy the Ottawa senators and use it as a backbone to help the community grow locally and globally rather than just being an asset. That’s pretty much why I would prefer Reynolds he seems more passionate behind it rather than just being able to say he owns a hockey team

  4. From what I've seen in my lifetime, there is a greater chance that the team stays in Ottawa-Gatineau over the long run if the owners themselves have a strong interest in being part of our local community. Obviously this isn't an absolute truth as there are cases in sports history where outside interests have rejuvenated franchises and made them very successful within their existing host cities.

All we can hope for now is that the Melnyk family has the best interests of the fanbase at heart and choose a new ownership group judiciously such that those best interests are indeed preserved.

  5. It's grown up time. Often Senators players have talked about that the culture in the arena is a bit quiet and serious. With Reynolds and Snoop Dogg there are creative connections that can be beneficial for the arena experience and raise the profile of the team. With Sparks focusing on bring my diverse audiences to the game it will only add my money and talent to the coffers. Remington will be good to have on to maximize the Lebreton and Kanata sites or this mystery 3rd site folks seem to be pushing for the new arena. Everyone here can benefit this fanbase and the franchise. Keep open minds and hearts. Recognize each others talents and let's GO SENS GO to the Stanley Cup.

  6. I prefer the Remington group. I like the local feel they have. The ownership needs to know what the fans are thinking and saying. The Sparks group seems like they just want the logo to show off and won't really care about what's happening on the ice

  7. Snoop saying he wants to increase diversity, affordability and accessibility of hockey is EXACTLY what the league needs – BUT!! Who says that Ryan isn't able to do that either?? Ryan is the type of guy to do EXACTLY that. So I don't see any upsides in a UK and US investment group managing us as an asset. A local group and local guy means deepening connections with the city and team and accountability when things go wrong. I have no doubt Snoop and the sparks group is great at making money and investing – but no thanks. I feel like that means higher ticket prices, more corporate culture. One of the biggest things about the Sens and the reason I love the team is because its almost like a small town team, even though we're OG. Seeing what Ryan did with Wrexham is exactly the type of thing we need. Snoop would be great for a US team, but we're talking about the Sens, the team that built rinks around the city in low income areas (where I live and play to this day!). I got to talk to Chris Neil because of local efforts like that, and you see people of every background using those rinks to this day. I want the owner to be 100% focussed on the team and the city and to work with local kids and community to expand those types of efforts. I never got to play as a kid cause of how expensive hockey is. Seeing Ryan's record, I trust him to help fix that issue in the city. I don't see Snoop "I'll attend multiple games" Dogg to help the city like Ryan could. Snoop should definitely buy a team, but not Ottawa. 👍

Edit: I also want to see Tim and Brady's goofy ass' with Reynolds. Golden content.

  8. My fear is someone buys the team and its just another business venture or uses it for personal agendas with no real cares for the team, city and community.

  9. This will be like the 3rd or 4th time I’ve left this comment on a Sens YouTube video, but I need to say it again.

Regarding Alex DeBrincat: For a guy on a new team, playing on the SECOND line, with a rookie Pinto as his centerman, I think almost 30 goals is pretty good for the Cat.

Now think of all the posts and chances he missed when he was snake bitten, and he probably coulda had around 35 this season. Promote him to the first line with Stü and Chucky, and he’s still easily a 40 goal scorer.
