Nothing wrong with dreaming big but in what world is PLD worth 2 first round picks AND a former first rounder.
Also that John Klingberg signing is awful. Dylan demelo is way better and for like 3 million less
Also not sure why Nashville would trade for schiefele when they aren’t really competing. I see that as more of an near cusp of playoff success while being close to salalry cap. Something like an ottowa or maybe a Pittsburg if they want to go for it one last time with Sid and malkin. I could Colorado paying a good price as their lack of center depth got exposed and schief contract is damn good.
Klingberg, Pionk and Schenn down the right side? I think that would put us a lot closer to winning the draft lottery than winning the Central next season…
I doubt anything will cause Buffalo to trade Tuch, he’s one of the souls of the team it’d be like us trading Lowry. Also Klingberg is more of a 6/7 dman now than a top pairing.
Also Demelo is worth way more than a 3rd. At the deadline he could probably fetch a 1st. A cheap, RHD that is very defensively responsible and can play top pairing.
I know Schmidt isn’t worth his cap hit, but you’d think with salary retained you would still be able to get something back for him, even if it’s a low draft pick.
Also that Klingberg deal is awful. And in what world would tarasenko sign a 3×6 mil deal in Winnipeg?
Why is a rebuilding Nashville giving us two picks and a young player for a year of Mark Scheifele?
