Lmao making MCDAVID excuses. The problem with him not being able to shift guys and not being able to beat everyone is because in the playoffs you actually play against talent. The playoffs are feint of heart for the weak. It’s about iQ in the playoffs and defensive ability in all 3 zones. McDavid needs to grow up.

Jay needs to insert Holloway (C) and Neimelainen (D) for the next game! Holloway adds speed, offense and physicality. Neimelainen is sound defensively, hits, and better skater than Vinny. Desharnais needs to watch from the stands for abit. Hopefully Derek Ryan is well enough to play next game.

Anyone mad mouthing McDavid in comments, don't know their hockey (1.7 points PG). He is playing good, making plays but when you are the target you will be targeted by 2 or 3 players at the same time and slowed down that's where others need to step up and help the team. Draisaitl PP goals are McDavid's laser passes to his stick. Yes! McDavid can play better, we saw it last year but He relies on his speed and quickness way more than Drai and any leg injury will impact him more than any other player.
Rishaug is brutal, if you polled the players and coaching staff. This guy takes the cake for embarrassingly idiotic rhetoric concerning the Oil.

Yes it wasn't the Oil's finest hour, but Ryan's gotta bone to pick after getting sour a few days ago when told to keep his cell off around the team during practice. Notice how he doesn't concede the injury? Because if he did, Rishaug would be banned from Oil practice altogether. Ryan Rishaug = 🤡
They need to sit Desharnais, he has been too accident prone. Go to 12 forwards. Guys like Devon Shore, Derek Ryan, maybe even Holloway or someone from the AHL. Playing mostly 3 lines vs the other teams 4 lines will eventually tire out the Oilers if they plan on going deep. You can only double shift the same guys so much.
