[JeffVeillette] Je me demande pourquoi arbitrer dans la LNH est un tel gâchis, si seulement il y avait une sorte de vue intérieure sur l’état d’esprit
I wonder why officiating in the NHL is such a mess, if only there were some sort of inside view towards the mindset pic.twitter.com/8rODDbTyC5

Tim Peel is a piece of shit, that’s no surprise and shouldn’t matter.
The problem is other refs obviously think like him.
It’s crazy that the refs are just regular dumbass hockey bros lol. I’m sure a couple must be decent but guys like Peele are actual morons. Wish you didn’t have to be a good skater to ref, I feel like we’d get a lot better people out there
This play aside, I wish hockey had a different system for penalties. 2 minutes for touching a guys hands feels like overkill. Wish it was closer to a soccer stoppage. A quick whistle, possession given back to the team that had the puck, and play on. Hand out penalties for real shit like this. Idk maybe this sport requires less subjectivity and this would make it even worse.
Hockey will always be a shit show until we get refs off the ice that can get the calls right in between plays. Until players are held accountable for their actions the league will always be a joke
This play doesn’t warrant a suspension. It’s what he did to Bunting that does.
Love this comment by a guy that could pretty much be replaced by tech. Have one ref to drop the puck who then gets the fuck off the ice. Another ref in between the benches to potentially blow things dead who is referencing sensors that determine offside, icing, penalty infractions, goals, and puck freezes by the goalie. Shit, could probably figure out tech for delayed penalties as well.
Anything is better than the current state.
1) opinion based, non-black-and-white calls really hinder the sports’ ability to « get things right. » The rules need to be written as a code, not as a suggestion. They need to have zero room for interpretation. AND, the rule book needs to be called as written, 100% of the time, with no exceptions. That is the ONLY way to take away « grey » area calls. It’ll be tough at first, but players will learn to play around it. This is also hindering the ability for the game to grow because there are so many « weird rules » to understand.
2) There needs to be an off-ice officials team, preferably minimum of two sets of eyes, who are mic’d into the refs on-ice. There has been FAR too many blatant calls missed this year, period. Whether that be refs standing idly watching players get manhandled, or calls not being made to not « interrupt the flow of the game » (etc.), this needs to be addressed.
3) Stephen Walkom needs to step down (head of NHL refs). The quality of officiating has been nothing short of an absolute embarrassment and things have consistently been getting worse. It’s starting to become a sore spot in the general sporting community. There has to be more done in order to preserve the integrity of the league. This is especially true more now than ever because of all of the sports betting sponsorships now coming in.
4) It has been said a lot, but Parros has been an embarrassment this year. The complete lack of consistency, the very clear preferential (and non-preferential) treatment, and the complete lack of disregard for player safety (ironic?) is so obvious. He needs to be removed from his position. He and his team aren’t upholding their responsibilities for the league.
I really don’t think any of these statements are hard to put into place either. Bettman wants to grow the game? How about fixing the potholes in the road before paving over it first. As a life-long hockey fan, these problems are SO obvious to me, and it upsets me deeply that NOTHING is being done to remedy them.
Tim Peel is a piece of garbage. Listen to his chicklets episode, he admits to all sorts of shit including playing favourites in exchange for rides on team planes.
Just get robo refs at this point, done with the current ones
No wonder the idiot doesn’t have a job anymore
Referees have zero education, they’re basically high-school dropouts
NHL Referees remind me of every asshole I went to highschool with that wanted to become a police officer
They all had zero morals and had no interest in being fair or upholding rules. They all just wanted the power and violence. It’s literally the same thing lmao
The problem with officiating starts and ends with Gary Bettman. Littler Hitler.
This kind of stuff is hurting the credibility of the game generally. It is clearly indicative of the mindset of the league.
Common Tim Peel L
I can’t even comment on Twitter anymore lest my blood boil. But you’d think that literally Rock Bottoming a guy without the puck and having his head hit the ice leading to a concussion should be suspendable. I think the bigger question is why isn’t it suspendable, rather than why it should be. And that’s beyond the suspendable cross check on Buntings neck that AM34 got 2 games for.
Jeff V is a cancer. Can’t believe that dudes still around
Dangle asked a simple and fair question and he straight refused to answer, if other refs are anything like this it answers a lot of questions
Twitter is such a cesspool how does anyone use it?
But wait, there’s more! [Link](https://twitter.com/TimCPeel20/status/1654509433358020609?t=oVjn2I1V7qMCP844GteAXg&s=19) Haha, what a tool.
Fuck Peel, Fuck Parros and especially Sam Benny Hill with a calamity of all calamities. But fair is fair. Take out Tkachuk, Bob or Barkov. No prisoners.
I dont see how headlocking a guy and throwing him to the ice is not a penalty
The NHL thinks that’s parity is going to make more money.
All we’re ever gonna get is more bs to make the teams in Florida, California and all these others crappy hockey markets better than they are. Because if these teams didn’t succeed, then the league would bleed money.
The league is already losing money, salary cap ain’t going up, and this parity bs just ruins the on ice entertainment.
Tim “I was going to quit anyways” Peel?
Fucking loser. Ugh 😵💫
Kinda interesting that the officiating has been out of whack and gotten REALLY bad since you can now bet on everything…
It’s almost like money talks.
