i dont like how Drance calls every forward who isnt a star player "middle six" lol. 50 – 60 point guys are TOP SIX wingers, more specifically a second line player. Garland is not "middle six" nor is Boeser.
30-40 point guys who cant crack a 2nd line on a regular basis would be considered "middle six"
Canucks need to do a full rebuild…they never do and giving up on young players is apart of that. Sure they get more functional players in the trades, but they could do better by keeping more economical/ controllable resources …player wise.
Just remember, Adam Clendening is only 3 years older than Forsling. They traded a 19 year old in Forsling who was a 5th rounder and playin decent in the SHL, for a 22 year old Adam Clendening who was a 2nd round pick and already put up 46 and 59 points in the AHL. The Blackhawks had no room for Clendening as they were already stacked in defense, thus they can just wait to develop another prospect. Wasn't a bad trade at the time.
EVERYONE said Forsling was THE guy to watch at the World Juniors and yes he was pretty good if I recall he wasn't amazing but that could've been anything from nagging injuries to the swedes not playing his style. But regarding the prospect situation overall, most reasonable people blame Benning and Gillis for doing so much damage to this franchise's prospect pool and cap situation but this new group seems to be following in their footsteps by trading away 1st and 2nd rounders again. So we have at least 3 GM's doing the same thing….what's really going on here ? I think we all know that this is an ownership thing. The ownership group just can't keep their mitts out of the cookie jar and can't seem to show any patience.
I think Drance needs to take another look at CapFriendly in terms of the OEL buyout. It’s over 8 years! Eight! Sure next year it helps. The next two years after that it’s over 5 million in cap space! Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Sure the cap might go up. But do we want to use all that extra space on a player who isn’t on the team anymore. Also. Lots of teams are at zero cap space. It’s not just the Canucks.
just when you thought it was safe to go back in the hot-tub … there's only one thing more exceedingly unsettling than visualizing "drancer" in the hot-tub … and that is having to share a "hot-tub" with bob "the moj" marjanovich…
There is no quick fix, they may trade a forward for cap room or tyler myers after his bonus is paid. They will just run out OELS contract and slowly work out thier worse contracts.

Nobody wants overpaid players from a losing team.

I like how these three have fun together like a bunch of old friends.

Jesus Christ. I can’t wait for Miller NTC kicks in so these idiots can quit speculating. “They need to decide what they want to do with Miller”
THEY JUSY AOGNED HIM TO A LONG TERM NTC DEAL. THEY DID IT WITH THE INTENT OF KEEPING HIM

Boeser 50% retained, demko, raty, next 3firsts, only next years top 10 protected for bedard. Get it done.
