@Blue Jackets de Columbus

[Portzline] Gallant était profondément intéressé par le poste vacant de CBJ il y a deux ans lorsque Brad Larsen a été embauché. Il semble probable qu’il serait à nouveau candidat.

    Nah. We need someone to facilitate our youth and have a system in place. Gallant gets carried by goalies getting hot. That’s not something he’s going to fix with our team.

    From what has been said, Galant is more « hands off », not really an « Xs and Os » guy.

    But, if you look at his track record he has had very successful seasons.

    With the right assistants I believe he could do well here and develop our young players the right way. He’s a tough guy, who demands respect from his players, but is not like Sutter. He loves Columbus from all accounts, and wanted the job 2 years ago.

    I say, bring him in.

  3. Pascal Vincent is allegedly a candidate too. Neither person should be hired as our next coach.

    Give me Brunette or Pecknold

    Initially, I wanted to pass on him since he couldn’t get NYR past the first round, but after seeing a more comprehensive list of what he’s accomplished in previous seasons… I’m on the fence. Definitely not my top pick, but he’s at least a better choice than Sutter.

    I don’t really care who we hire, we’re still years away from doing anything and finding a coach is a crap shoot

    Pass. Gallant has had too many positions where he had successful seasons, followed by a poor post-season and then a firing. There’s a whole lot of smoke there. For some reason NHL GM’s are giving him an extremely short leash.

    Guys, I don’t think anyone we hire will be here long-term, so at this point, I don’t care who we hire.
