Lame ass take ngl. Bedard in a smaller market will grow the game exponentially in that market. Canadian hockey markets don't need to grow anymore, they are already the biggest markets in North America.

Bedard, McDavid and Draisaitl woul make the kind of magazine cover that we’d be stupid not to grab when it hits shelves. Between McDavid & Draisaitl hefting the Oilers onto their backs and dragging the team (kicking and screaming, in some instances) thru every. single. playoff game, and Bedard being the backbone of whatever franchise he ends up going to (hashtag please let it be Vancouver), this could finally be the era that ends the Canadian blackout of the NHL. You hear so much about the US teams, but it’s been too long since anyone heard anything about a Canadian team that wasn’t either raggin on the Leafs, or the constant bickering that’s STILL going on with the Habs (for a variety of reasons, but the center of it is Patrick Roy being traded to the Avs).
Cananda created the sport of hockey. And it’s about time that we started seeing Canadian teams being treated with the respect that they deserve.
(Side note: if Bedard goes to Arizona, with everyone knowing that’s where hockey once-greats go to finish their careers, there might be some very very angry folks in the rest of the league who understand how his talent is wasted in a city where you’d be hard-pressed to even find a Coyotes fan willing to admit to it.)
Bedard will probably be a great player, and if they hadn’t stupidly signed Miller to that dumbass contract, they might have needed a centre like him, but now, with any luck, the BPA will be a top pairing defenseman. That’s what they need. More than a top line centre or even a 3rd line centre. A top pairing shutdown defenseman. Bedard wouldn’t immediately fix any of the team’s problems. It’s not scoring that’s at issue. They need defenseman who can defend and log big minutes. When Hughes isn’t on the ice, the Canucks are a liability. That says as much about Quinn’s development as an all around defenseman as it does about how bad the team is. The fact that he was a plus player last year is incredible.

As a neutral observer (Sabres fan), the outcome I want most other than Sabres winning the draft lottery to move up to #3 is the Coyotes getting Bedard. Everyone would flip out and it would be hilarious. Not only that, they actually have some really talented players on that team. They’re loaded with underrated players (Keller, Schmaltz, Maccelli, Crouse, Hayton, Valimaki, and Vejmelka) and I think if they draft Bedard people would finally notice
I pray to whatever lords are out there that Anaheim gets Bedard, that would be one of the most entertaining teams in the entire league next to Edmonton. Bedard Terry and zegras?
